Super 8 by Wyndham Huntsville

Check in was not that good, the desk service person threw my credit card into the bin a bit aggressively, not sure why, but took me by surprise. Especially since it was 6 pm and we patiently waited for our room to be ready. We had family there in another room so it wasn't a big deal. Then neither of our room keys worked. We had to go back to the desk for new ones. The bathroom door didn't lock and we chad to getba light bulb as there wasn't one on one of thr lamps. Housekeeping cleaned our room and never came back with our towels so we had to get them in the morning. Finally there were 2 occasions where outside bugs somehow got inside into the bathroom, thankfully my husband got them. None of this is a huge deal just aggravating. We stayed here before and everything was fine, it just didn't work out this time

This place deserves zero stars! I booked and prepaid through Wyndham website. After driving 13 hours with my children. I go to check in. The guy at the desk the runs the hotel said, “I need you to cancel your reservation you booked online and book and pay directly through me.” I said, no. He said, then I will cancel your reservation and was very hateful. After he canceled my reservation. I called Wyndham corporate office and reached the lady who said she shows my reservation and prepayment and that the hotel canceled my reservation. She apologized for the local guys behavior and opened a case for management. I travel all over the world and have never seen such appalling behavior. I had to find another hotel at 9:30 at night with my kids. We went to Fairfield Inn & Suites which was amazing! So unless you want to be stranded and deal with hateful people, skip this place.

Basic place, but we expected it. Were there for a race, so we needed somewhere close to the event. The beds were sooo uncomfortable!! We felt like were sleeping on a concrete slab!! And then there is a safety/security issue. My wife and kids arrived a day later and I was at the race. SHe needed a key card for the room and went to the front desk to get one. She told the desk person her name and room number and they handed her 2 key cards without asking her for her identification,,,,,,,Otherwise, the place was pretty clean.

The room was nice for the price. My only complaint was we got to the hotel around 11 p.m. while I was checking in my family unloaded luggage. They would not allow us to enter through the front doors, we had to reload the luggage and drive around to the side door and unload there. The beds are more firm than we care for, but for the price its a good hotel.

This hotel is clean in the public areas as well as the room. This is run by a family and they could not have been more accommodating. Our bed was actually very comfortable. Although not a luxury hotel it was nice. I liked the little sitting area in our room as we had a friend stop by for a visit. I would stay again.

My family stayed at Super 8 for Family Weekend and we were very surprised. The room was clean and very comfortable!

My family and I stayed at this Super 8 the weekend of August 22/23 so we could move my son into his dorm.
