Comfort Suites Grand Prairie - Arlington North

When we arrived at our room immediately after check-in, it was stifling hot, and I realized the thermostat didn’t work. I called the front desk clerk who said she would send maintenance and move me to another room if necessary. After a long day of traveling, I asked to just be moved to a new room and was immediately obliged. Our king suite was very large and had great space for us to leave the sofa bed extended for our child throughout the duration of our stay. Room was generally clean. Noticed hairs in the bathtub/shower and asked for a new blanket as the one in the room closet was covered in hairs. Beds were comfortable. Our second room cooled very nicely all day and evening. Walls were rather thin and rooms not as soundproofed as I would’ve liked, but we run a floor fan at night for white noise, and that did the trick. Pool was disgusting and littered with actual trash (partially eaten candy bars in wrappers) and tree debris. No one cleaned it at all during our 3-day stay, so my son was very disappointed he couldn’t use it. Breakfast was very lackluster the one day we woke up early enough to try it. Location was convenient to many things. Wish the staff member who was visible in an office during checkout time would’ve emerged and asked about guests’ stays, but instead a bucket was left at the empty counter instructing guests to put their room keys in it before leaving. I paid just a little over $100/night for our stay, so for the price, I was overall satisfied.

The room was clean and had great space for my family, however the staff was not very friendly and they were charging for extra towels but when given cash for the extra towels the staff put the money in her pocket, I also never received my deposit back. The room was clean and there was no type of damage or issue with the room but still was not given my deposit back! I have a feeling that my money was pocketed all in all would not go back nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. It would be a great hotel to stay at if it wouldn’t have been for the staff there, very sad. Change the staff and you would have a good hotel.

Great place to stay with your family

Overall, a great value at the price. Large clean room at a low price. Needed a bit if basic maintenance; our towel rack was broken, the toilet had too low a flow to clear waste, etc.. Don’t count on breakfast buffet on a Saturday; it is barren an hour after it starts - with a long line of diners waiting. Guests w children were loud in the halls until midnight.

This was the worst hotel stay that I have had ever. There were kids running up and down the hall all night or playing soccer on the floor. I had to call management to shut it down. Every morning there were trash cans in the hall and towels lining the outside of the rooms because there is virtually no housekeeping on the weekend. They ran out of food in the breakfast area and so we were lucky to get coffee. I could go on but I will spare everyone.

Hotel is in a very convenient location to everything Arlington and Grand Prairie. But thats where the positive feedback ends. Front counter was friendly enough but they are sticklers on 3pm check in. Not a minute earlier. The king size bed was very firm. If thats what you like then no biggie but too firm for our liking. There were bed bugs in the pull out sofa bed. We got a picture of one and our kids had bites. The towels had some type of sticky yellow substance. The toilet paper holder is in a very difficult location to reach while sitting on the toilet. Way down low and behind you. Not the hotels fault but had kids running up and down the halls and banging on doors all hours of the night. And lastly had housekeeping come in at about 7am the morning of check out while we were still asleep.

Our stay was overall pretty good! The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. We did find a roach in our room…which is less than ideal but we do know that it’s Texas so it happens. The pool was smaller than we thought it was going to be so it was hard to enjoy with so many other families in a tiny space. The breakfast was decent but we wished they had more variety and options.

We had a stay at Comfort Suites and was a disaster from day 1. We couldn’t sleep because the guests in room 219 kept jumping and running around causing lots of disturbances enough that we couldn’t get good sleep! Also there were guests who were smoking weed at the pool and tried to grope my daughter into smoking having me her mother there. I immediately went and reported all this and nothing was done! I had to make my son go with us to have a witness in case any happened again. Which I reported and nothing was done! There were also the staff who laughed at me when I kept reporting the disturbance above our room. And should I add that there was also an encounter where 2 employees were arguing and a gun was pulled!!! This was outrageous! I with my family were scared. Also my daughter slipped in the very slippery tub and hurt her knees and her chin bone will never stay here again!!!

The hotel was clean and perfect for our family.

Once walked I walked into the room started to sit my things down baby bugs started to come out of sockets, around the toilet, and nightstand's. Asked for a refund and booked another hotel. Clerk stated that we would get a refund for the nights we did not stay excluding the first night. Horrible and Nasty very unlivable!!
