They had a pool, it looked nice, but they told us when we arrived we could not use it- strike one.
Our room was adequate, but very stuffy. The AC had not been turned on. We tried, but it wasn’t working. We called the desk for help, was told they’d be up in about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later we called back… it appears they forgot. The fix was simple, but there should not have been even a need for it if they’d had anyone actually attending to the rooms.- strike 2
When we arrived, they knew we were traveling with a 6 yr old grandchild, that we’d need to make up the pull out sofa as a 2nd bed. They didn’t have enough supplies so all we got was 1 sheet and 1 scratchy, old blanket (ewww). - strike 3
This hotel was understaffed, no one working there looked happy to be there, nor concerned with the guest. It was cheaply outfitted, cheap everything.

We had problems from reservation confirmation onwards:
We purposely choose a pet-friendly location. Even though we travel with a registered service dog, we have encountered problems before, so we stay at only pet friendly locations. When our confirmation was sent, it specifically said “no pets”. We called, and were confirmed, that “pets” would not be a problem and that there would be no charge for our service dog. But it took a telephone call to resolve an issue that should have been confirmed online.
We arrived at around 5:30 pm, and there was nobody at front desk, or anywhere around. Another group of quests were also at the front area, and told us that they’d been waiting there over 10 mins. I went to try and find someone, and after about another 10 mins, various hotel housekeeping staff finally appeared, along with the front desk clerk. So, around 20 mins after arriving before we could check in.
We had reserved a room with a whirlpool bath, and paid extra for it. It worked wonderful … for about 5 mins. We kept trying to reset it - having to get out of the tub each time. It finally became apparent that it was on a timer - the whirlpool would turn on for 1 1/2 minutes only, and then would turn off and could not be reset for at least 5 min. I can understand energy saver features- but the whole experience was more stressful than relaxing.
We are frequent travelers, but unfortunately we can recommend this location to our family, friends, or associates, or return.

They did not have access to hot water when we checked into the property we were not notified about this
After we went to the room and figured that out went back downstairs to talk to the concierge where they explained that there’s nothing they can do about this and they’ve been having issues with it all day… they watched me and my family of two kids check in without saying a word about the hot water and pretty much waved their fingers afterwards saying it’s an issue that they have. I’ll talk with the concierge the next morning where they have a Flawless story that whereas they thought they had it fixed in the middle of the night it is now not working again first thing in the morning… considering it was $179 per room I find that beyond ridiculous

It was quiet, stayed a few nights for a family wedding nearby. Small restaurants nearby, convenient stores.
Great stay, great staff

I would come back but my biggest complaint would be that the hotel rooms were very damp feeling and had a damp smell. My family in other rooms said the same thing. The breakfast was lacking as well. The food was not even warm and they had room temp water and juice available but no ice. The hotel was clean, looked nice and was in a great location.

Dirty, Front desk staff were not friendly nor were the correct on questions I asked and actually gave wrong information. Room was dirty and smelled. 90 dollars was high as this was probably worse than a motel 6. 200 on the weekend you got be kidding me. Gainsville dump!

The front desk staff when I checked in was sweet and helpful even though she was sad about getting bad news about her family. :( I specifically reserved and paid for a jacuzzi room and the jets did not work properly. They worked for about 30 seconds, then turned off. I reset the button as instructed but they didn't work. When I checked out, I let the lady know the jacuzzi didn't work and they did not offer to make it right in any way. I'll probably shop around for another hotel next time.

Check in payment issues. Resolved quickly.
Cleanliness issues, toilet was unacceptably dirty. Had to change rooms.
Very noisy HVAC unit. Could not carry on a conversation when it was running.
Broken and dirty room furniture. Almost fell out of the broken chair.
Broken elevator. I had to carry all of our bags down four flights of stairs. We told a housekeeper and she phoned someone. I told the front desk agent who insisted that the elevator was "working" and was argumentative. Someone on the hotel staff told my daughter that a "button", behind the front desk, needed to be pushed when the hotel was busy. My family, five of us, were in the elevator when it did not operate correctly. Fortunately, the door opened when I pushed the manual open door button. I felt like the front desk agent was insulting my intelligence and dismissive!
I witnessed an elderly couple having difficulties walking down the stairs when the elevator was not operating!
