Hands down, this place is absolutely amazing! My family of 4 stayed in Stephenville for a soccer tournament and we chose this place to stay based off of other reviews - and I am so glad we did! Not only is the staff incredibly nice and welcoming, the hotel is clean, safe, and has lots of additional amenities. The pool area is very nice and has an area where you can get up chairs/setting outside the pool area - this allowed us to watch our kids without having to worry about being splashed by all the kids. The cherry on top was the fact that 2 days before our stay, my husband called and asked if they would be able to do a little something in the room to make our daughter feel special since it was her birthday the day we arrived - & boy did they come through! They had a large “Happy Birthday” banner, 2 large helium balloons, and a personalized birthday card from the staff. I wish I had a way to upload the picture of the setup they did because it really warmed our hearts to see how much care & work they put into doing that for her!
Highly recommend!!

I booked 4 rooms at La Quinta back on November 6, 2023 for our family and friends to stay when my daughter graduated from Tarleton State University on May 9, 2024 - six months earlier. The morning of the DAY we were packing up to go to Stephenville, La Quinta called me and said they had inadvertently overbooked and we no longer had any rooms that night, but that Best Western had rooms left.
La Quinta rooms were $184.00 per room, per night. Best Western charged us $389.00 per room, per night. We had no choice because there was literally no other places to stay, since it was the day before college graduation.
I checked prices for the weekend AFTER graduation, and Best Western was back to the usual $180.00 per night, like it usually is because we've stayed here many times. This should be (and probably is) illegal to price gouge people like this just because it's graduation weekend.
And to top it off, one of our family's rooms had a huge roach in it. This is anything but a $400.00 per night hotel. This was highway robbery and should not be allowed.

Checked in was terrible. Booked through expedia. Booking said pay at property. Checked in late and got there and the front desk could not find my booking due to they canceled my reservation without bothering calling me. Booked for amount of $164 a night but front desk charged regular price of $229. Asked why and he said that is their reugalar rate talked to manager at home working with kids noises in the background waited for a while so manager can figure out the problem. It was a long checked in and terrible specially the reason to be there is for the kids to enjoy the pool but pool was full of dust and sand. Never going back again.

it wasn't a bad stay at all, It was very clean and me and my family had a very nice and spacious room, it was very clean, it had 2 tv's, a sofa bed, and it was like a home feeling. However it was very warm and humid in the room, the air was not cooling at all, and I didn't like that I drove 5 hours, and the room was not ready, I even left and came back, and the room still wasn't ready so we didn't get to check in until after 4:30, But I was told there was 40 checkouts the night before so I wasn't upset, just tired and wanted to relax. the workout room was also very hot and humid so we could not stay in there long. but overall, I liked the hotel, the staff was very friendly and they helped if we needed it. I will stay again. I am booking again soon.

In town for a college graduation. This BW was excellent. Young staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. The room was large, clean, and I slept like a snoring baby. Included breakfast is always a plus!

this was the 3rd booking for the weekend that i reserved for the sole purpose of using the pool facility. NONE of the hotels said pool was closed; it was advertised open as an amenity. Very expensive on my part and disappointed.
Although staff is very helpful and nice everyone seems young and alone...the desk is always mostly busy so they are unable to help outside of the area. On Sunday morning at 7 am multiple children were jumping, running and yelling for over 40+ min before I finally called the front desk; since she couldnt leave the desk all she could do was call the room on 4th floor. Although I reported it again when I was leaving at 9:30am still continuing I told her she would have many people upset trying to sleep. It was horrible. I spent many years in service industry as a manager so I was very nice and understanding but its still unacceptable. I never mentioned my disappointment for the pool not being open since its not under their control. But things are way too expensive right now to not be taking care of customers and making sure business it ran properly.
Overall the hotel was centerally located, nicely kept and i loved the breakfast area. I recommend getting some bagels and cream cheese though.
