Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waxahachie, an IHG Hotel

Front staff was helpful and friendly. Great breakfast (could use sugar free syrup options). Clean property and a great location. I would definitely stay here again if we needed a place in this area again. Only criticisms: we had a family suite with a king and 2 queens. For a room that size, they only initially provided 2 towels and the king room had no storage for clothes or really anything in that room aside a bed, tv, and two nightstands. There was plenty of clothes storage in the 2 queen room, but we had to make sure we had what we needed from our luggage and clothes before the kids went to bed.

Staff & maids were very friendly & helpful. Very clean hotel, shower pressure was the best ever!!! The pool was clean & different levels for toddlers to enjoy as well.

I liked having snacks available. I liked having a hot breakfast with the to-go bags as an option. I did not like the noise. Folks were talking in the hallway at 10:30 p.m. Folks upstairs walked heavily and a lot. I was awakened by a child was running up and down the hallway Saturday morning at 8:30 for TWO HOURS! I was awakened Friday morning by a man yelling. So, sleeping was difficult.

The staff and cleanliness of this property is a 10 all across. Comfy beds, very nice property and the staff goes above and beyond to be kind, especially to a crying toddler. Thank you for accommodating our request to be on the 1st floor with a running toddler. We have stayed here multiple times.

For $200/night, we expected more and better. Looks the same as any other budget motel. Smelled terrible when we first entered the room. Humid and musty, almost moldy smelling. Absolutely no water pressure in the shower. Sink water smelled like gas. Breakfast was fairly substanial in terms of options. But the water and juice tasted off. I suspect because the machine/dispenser is not connected to a water filter. Just wish we could find a better hotel for when we are visiting family in this area. Unlikely to return here, but also hate driving all the way from Dallas to Waxahachie.

Stayed four nights with family and couldn’t ask for a better hotel. Staff was super friendly and hotel was clean. Plenty of places very close to eat. Definitely stay here again.
