Hampton Inn & Suites Bastrop

Hotel is good but the inside pool did not have proper ventilation. Causing our children to have asthma attack. Many other family members to have their allergies also triggered by the strong chlorine and heat in the area. Had to take my daughter to an emergency visit to get treatment. As her rescue inhaler was not sufficient. Spoke with management and no concern was given. So be careful going to the pool if you gave loved ones with health issues you make may reconsider another hotel with proper ventilation or even outside pool.

Well the room was a King Suite for $239.00 and it was dissatisfied for me since it’s owned by Hilton. The mattress was hard as a rock and cheap and you could feel the springs inside it and it had no box springs. Then the bathroom ceiling above shower was dripping and paint peeling off and under sink was a leak and the wood table had been already ruined from previous leaking of water. It was loud in halls for 3 hours and kid’s jumping around upstairs till after midnight. I called desk and the clerk stated, maybe they’ll put the kids to bed soon. Then someone started beating on the wall upstairs and just not a quiet comfortable hotel especially for what we paid.

When checking in I was advised that this hotel had overbooked rooms and that I did not have a place to stay over the Easter Weekend and had to come back home. which ruined my Entire Easter Weekend with my family. I expect a full refund on my card!

Staff was great- Katie at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful. Room did not have a fridge, the iron didn't work, and the ice machines were broken on all levels before we left. Breakfast was good and had lots of options, which is nice since my SO is gluten free. Overall, okay for a weekend wedding trip since the family was all staying at the same hotel. Would have booked an AirBnb otherwise...
