Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Elgin, an IHG Hotel

Front desk personnel was amazing. Check in was fast, easy & our room was warm as it was cold outside. Housekeeping was very courteous. Changed out towels and collected our trash daily. Very good, hot breakfast. The cleaning crew kept the breakfast area nice and clean. Located near a McDonald's for the kids (walking distance) Large stores close by for convenience (HEB & Wal-Mart) Overall, my family and I had a fantastic stay.

Our stay was bearable. We weren’t expecting much from a 2 star hotel in Elgin. But, our room was very musty and dirty. There was hair of various lengths on the vanity and desk. The carpet needed to be vacuumed. I used the Lysol wipes and mini spray I carry in our kids diaper bag to wipe and spray everything down. The worst was the broken AC; it was running but the room didn’t cool down. Despite putting the thermostat at 67, it got so warm in our room, I was sweating. The complimentary breakfast was ok. We had to stay in Elgin for a function early the next morning, but otherwise would not have stayed here. WAY over priced for the condition of the room, and location. Will not stay here again.

Kids above me . They should not put people with children on the 3rd floor. Complained nothing done.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Elgin for a wedding that was in a nearby small town. There were restaurants/stores close by and the hotel was easy to find. The continental breakfast was great for the kids and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was pleasantly friendly and accommodating. My only complaint would be that the pool appeared dirty and didn't seem like it had been properly treated. There were a lot of bugs in it as well so the kids were a little disappointed because I wasn't comfortable letting them swim. Overall nice place for the area.

We had several family members gather to attend a Memorial Service in Coupland, TX. First of all, this is the closest hotel of quality to Coupland, and, second, the staff was very accommodating and caring regarding our situation. We gathered several times, after hours, in the breakfast room. I truly appreciated the concern shown.
