The staff and the room was great. I was greeted like I was family from the moment I checked my family into the Inn. The customer service of the staff was impeccable, yhe rooms were very nice and super clean. It was a quiet and peaceful stay. The breakfast the next day was at least a 2 star. Our overall experience was a 5+ star

Very bad stay. The lobby was empty upon my arrival. I called Best Western and tried to let someone know. I got voicemail. I tried another number, a person directed my call to customer service, but that also went to voicemail. After 20 minutes, a clerk came into the lobby carrying towels. He was very rude and abrupt. Then he would not allow me to stay in the family suite that I reserved and paid for, saying my service dog and my Mimi dachshund puppy were not allowed in that room. We were downgraded to a standard room. We could not get to sleep because of the amount of noise in the parking lot and from the TV volume coming from the adjacent room. The pool and fitness center were closed. It was one of the worst nights I've had in a hotel room. The only thing that was decent was the breakfast the next morning.

Pros - Location. If you are looking for a hotel that is close to Cades Cove, this hotel fits the bill. Also, I stayed at this hotel in the 80’s as a child. For the age of the hotel, they have done a nice job of keeping it up. Room access is from outside, but that was to be expected. You do have to climb stairs, but not a huge deal since there are only two floors. There are beautiful mountain views from the hotel. Cons - The pool is covered and will not be available all season. To me, any picture of a pool should be removed and you should not say you have a pool if you do not plan on opening it until summer 2023. We had some very disappointed kids who thought they were going to get to swim every evening with their cousins, and us parents thought we would be able to wear the kids out while relaxing each evening. Instead, we had to let them play electronics. :( Second, if you need anything after 11:00 am (checkout time) be prepared to wait, because the four staff members are cleaning the rooms. Also, there is no night clerk, so if you check in late you will have to ring the bell and wait while a grumpy lady wakes up. Third, the floors are vinyl plank which is great, but they were filthy. My kids socks were black from walking on the floors a short time after we arrived, so we kept our shoes on most of the time. I even put on flip flops to go to the bathroom at night. Bottom line: If you want a zero frills hotel with incredible views, it is a good hotel.
