The Mantissa Hotel

Very nice modern internal, but historic feel to the hotel and area. Friendly staff, very clean room and very convenient to local shops in Historic Downtown Hartsville. This was a family trip for an “unofficial” family reunion and the hotel room almost felt like “home away from home” the two nights we stayed.

Everything was awesome at this property. Leslie made sure we were taken care of and from check-in to check-out she took care of us. Great property and I would recommend this place to family and friends!

Rooftop Bar had a birthday party going on. Sounded like a concert playing outside my room until late in the night. Good luck to anyone with children who need to sleep.

The bathroom wasn’t clean. Mold in the vents. Dust everything. Fridge was dirty. My family wanted to pay for my room and they did but the hotel hasn’t issued me a credit yet either. It was okay but not what I was expecting for the price.

The Hotel had potential to be great. But unfortunately, it was not very clean. We stayed in the King Suite with the pull out sofa bed and kitchen. The sofa was freshly stained and my husband scrubbed out the stain. Our bed looked unmade, when I asked about it they assured me that that was the way it was suppose to look. The BIGGEST disappointment was the floors. My children’s feet were absolutely filthy from walking on the floors. I didn’t want to complain anymore after mentioning the bed. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming. I didn’t want to be “that lady”. Lol. The hotel has potential to be beautiful but the cleanliness just failed.
