We arrived for check-in at 2:30 am. Granted we were later on arrival than we anticipated because of traveling with our newborn and 4 kids but we arrived and no one answered the door. They had locked the doors and put signs up saying they were booked. I had booked online and called earlier in the week to confirm. We called the desk several times with no answer and I stood at the door for probably 30 minutes waiting for someone to walk by. We called the chain and they tried to call the hotel and the emergency line twice. They finally reached the staff and they let us in however they did not have the room we reserved - we had 7 people so this was important. We had to squeeze in a room with one less bed. They offered a roll away but didn’t bring it up and it was so late that we squeezed everyone in one sofa bed and called down and said Nevermind on the roll away. It all worked out in the end but it was extremely disheartening to be locked out of our hotel with 5 kids at 3 am after driving for the whole day and all other hotels were booked in the area of Florence. Anyhow, just sharing as an fyi. I’m sure the employee was very tired as night shifts can’t be easy and we should have probably called to say we would be so late.

This was a planned stop on our way to Florida. Went out of our way to ensure our 4 children would have a pool and that the hotel accepted our dogs. The pool was freezing. My two youngest couldn’t swim due to the temperature. The toilet didn’t work well and the door did not stay closed on the bathroom. The parking lot lights were directly toward our room. When getting the kids into bed, an open condom wrapper was in our sheets. My husband brought the wrapper to the front desk. They offered to get us a hotel room next door, but my family would have to pack/unpack again and by this point we just wanted to leave. We left for Florida and the hotel reimbursed us fully. Hotels.com was very helpful in getting our refund.
Only plus was the dog fee was great and surprisingly low.

I rarely write reviews but people need to read this and be aware. We were driving from VA to Hilton head and stayed here Friday night. We got a suite and the room was very old. The sheets had stains on them and the toilet didn’t stop running and would not then flush. The front desk staff person came up then and said he would compensate us and take it off the bill. When we went to check out the next morning that was not communicated to the day person who then called the manager. They took off $28.00. We then walked out to our car which was in front of the hotel with a security camera facing it only to discover we had been robbed. We had a car top carrier with a lock and they slashed it and cut all the straps. All of our stuff was taken, my parents and 3 children’s things as well as my own and all our tennis bags. We lost everything. When we went into the hotel they were less than sympathetic. While waiting for the police I started to walk the premises and went into the hotel next door, the Hampton Inn and suites. They said there was a lot of theft in the area and gave my children a brown bag with snacks and water and walked us to their dumpster to see if anything got tossed there. After the police came and took the report, my dad went inside to inquire about the security cameras. One girl behind the desk said , “ I don’t think there is any film or they even work.” There is a new Tru hotel next door but regardless the area needs more surveillance. Worst hotel experience ever.

The stay here was a steal. The whole place was clean, the room was so big- plenty big for a family of six- and the breakfast spread was actually quite good. We had the indoor pool to ourselves. Check in and out was quick and easy. We’d stay here again if passing through SC. Highly recommend!

In general this hotel served our needs well. The room was large, clean, with comfortable beds and bedding. My only complaints are, 1. no where did it state there was a $50 per night charge for my dog (I don't mind paying it but it should be up front) and 2. the lighting in the bathroom was less than optimal. However, I would not hesitate to stay here again when driving between my home in Florida and my family in the Northeast US. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Front desk service was excellent, kept us close to other family members in the hotel. Breakfast staff was polite and attentive. Easy parking. Room was comfortable, bed nice, temperature easily manageable. The Shower was very low pressure and no vent in bathroom. No TV viewing guide that we could find.

Personel was excellent, but with 3 kids and traveling they wanted to swim and pool was closed. Then the ice makers were all broke. Again the only saving grace was the workers or it would be a total waste of money being there
