This historic property was just great! I cant say enough about the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to make us feel at home. The daily breakfast, wine and cheese and cookies in the evening were a nice touch. I also really appreciated the bottle filler and icewater. The courtyard and lobby for people to sit and enjoy was a very welcoming and family like atmosphere. Self park was easy to get to and the location of the inn was great for going to everything with easy walking distance to great restaurants, Charleston market and waterfront park. We will definitely return!

Incredible stay! We as a family stayed here the day before our Carnival Cruise set sail the next day. We were able to explore Charleston that evening and it was only less than a mile away the next morning from the Carnival Cruise ship departure port! Should have stayed again upon the ships return for one more night at the Meeting Street Inn, and we will book that the next time!

We spent one night in Charleston on a family trip with my husband, daughter and son-in-law. Very nice accommodations! The wine and cheese reception and breakfast were a nice added bonus. Really nice hot tub, but not real hot. Within walking distance of a lot of stuff. Overall good stay and would recommend.

Amazing- highlight of the trip. I come to Charleston often to visit family and was lucky enough to find a room available for my dates of travel.
Location is perfect for exploring the peninsula, service and staff were attentive, helpful and welcoming. Hotel and rooms very well appointed. We loved the breakfast and happy hour each day as well.
Looking forward to another visit soon!

We loved the location for the price. The staff was great and they do a wine/cheese hour which was nice. Our room was nice but smelled strongly of varnish that had been put on over a month ago. The window was sealed shut so I could not air it out. They did not have another room to move me although they tried. We were the first room next to the lobby. Once we went to bed I could hear my upstairs neighbor walking around until 2:30am! Also, I could hear music from somewhere until 4:30am so it made for a miserable night and traveling with two small children. I did call and complain around 2am. It wasn't until morning when I went to talk to front desk that I realized it was the outdoor lobby music I was hearing. So, I asked the desk about it. Apparently, it didn't get turned off that night. The hotel was gracious enough to refund my upcoming night and we moved to a different hotel.

We were so close to the Market, restaurants, so much history in all the surrounding blocks. The staff treated us like family. We will definitely be back soon to stay here and see more of Charleston.

When checking in they gave us the wrong room. When I tried to fix it she fought me on if I knew what my reservations were till my husband walked in. The place is under construction and the room smelt like paint. Bed had only one thin rough blanket. TV was not working bc cable was out. The breakfast was a muffin my kids get at school with an apple pre packaged very disappointing.

The staff is amazing! Warm, friendly, and responsive. We felt like we were family.
The beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept on.
Location is great for major Charleston tourist sites.
Excellent coffee. Continental breakfast was good; hard-boiled eggs (no green), cereals, bagels, English muffins, coffee cake or sweet muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit.
The mattresses are high, might not work for people with balance or arthritis.
Rooms are being renovated, so condition of rooms will be excellent in a few months.

Very disappointed in the Meeting Street Inn. Other than the convenient location, everything else was very below expectations. The place was dingy. Rooms very small for a family of 4. Breakfast was ok for continental, but at $350 a night, we should have gotten a full hot breakfast with mimosas and bloody Mary’s!

We fell in love with this place when we walked in the door. The location, staff, courtyard, continental breakfast out of this world, wine and cheese hour were perfect. I dont think I will stay anywhere else when , not if, I go back to Charleston. My wife and I had the perfect weekend there. It is an absolutely gorgeous Inn. I think we liked the courtyard and fountain setting for coffee and breakfast the most but I dont know. Its as cute a place as you will find escpecially at that price. 1 or 2 blocks to most anything you want to do. Have already recommended it to my grown children. We will be back. Thank you Meeting Street Inn.
