Comfort Suites Camp Hill-Harrisburg West

Overall this is a great hotel with very spacious rooms and we loved the separate bedroom in the king suite. (Just be sure to ask for linens for the pull-out when you check-in.) The room was very clean with very good amenities. The free breakfast was a nice option in addition to a full kitchen. It was a short drive to the riverfront for the concert we were seeing. The only negative for us was the kids running the halls and congregating at 11pm. They are in/out of the elevator playing games and yelling at each other. There were several larger groups of adults drinking and hanging out in the lobby and they were not watching these kids. I finally had to step out in the hallway and ask the kids to keep their voices down and go into their rooms because it was late and people were trying to sleep. Thankfully that did it. That said, the hotel should have been on top of this.

Attention to detail and service made this a subpar experience. We arrived to find a nearly empty roll of toilet paper with no extras. When we called the front desk, we were instructed to "find a housekeeping staff member." We also booked a room for three individuals and there were no linens for the pull out sofa so we had to go hunt those down. The elevator carpeting had a nasty looking stain that remained through our visit. Our room cleanliness was fine, though family staying there had trash cans that were left full. Breakfast offering was sparse and the coffee, which comes out of the dispenser at a surprisingly aggressive rate, was way too hot so you'd nearly burn yourself to get a cup. Our room was on the top floor, which I would usually love, but we were next to the stairs and the stairwell door closed so hard that we were woken up several times during the night. My husband finally went to shove off washcloth in the hinge just to stop the banging. Overall very poor experience and I would not return.

I have stayed here before and really enjoyed it. This there were a ton of kids on a hockey team staying. They were doing slap shots in the lobby and breakfast was trashed because of them. Above us on the next floor there was someone jumping and stomping to the point I called the front desk. Kids will be kids and I expect that but the parents that allowed them to run around should be accountable. The hotel itself is clean, usually quiet and located in a convenient area. Front desk staff are kind and friendly.

We stayed here when we were in town visiting family. This place is super new, very clean, and we’ll definitely stay here again. We were traveling with our dog who was welcomed with complimentary dog biscuits which was a sweet touch. We opted for the suite with a seating area so our dog had room to roam and the room was huge with a large bathroom. The price was very affordable, too.

We definitely rely on honest reviews when researching places to stay, we were so happy that this hotel lived up to the reviews. Our room was clean and in order, my one little quibble? Some idiot decided to place a shirt name tag up high on some moulding, why? This isn’t a cheap Super 8, why do this? Worse, why didn’t housekeeping see this and remove it before my stay? My wife and I always bring some Lysol and Clorox wipes, it just makes us feel better, these should also be standard in todays COVID world. The other little quibble? This is a pet friendly hotel, why not mention there is a charge per night for them? Maybe I missed it but I don’t remember seeing there is a charge for them. I feel $25 per night is a little high, La Quinta doesn’t charge for pets, maybe Comfort Suites can do the same? Otherwise this place is a really nice place especially if traveling with your fur baby.

Everything was exceptional except we had the unfortunate experience of having people in the room over top of us, who had kids that NON-STOP, ran back and forth the length of the room, jumping on the floor, and banging the walls - ALL NIGHT LONG. From 8pm until 7am this was going on. I called front desk at 11pm to have them take care of the situation and while I am not 100% sure if they contacted that room or not, the situation was NOT corrected.

Hotel itself is very nice, room was very clean. Shower was great, updated and modern, no bath tub just a nice flat floor. Bed extremely comfortable slept like a baby, we were there for 4 nights. Area is beautiful and close to everything. Staff very friendly. Will absolutely stay again.

The hotel was very accommodating to our large group of volleyball players and families. They were able to keep us all on the same floor so the girls could easily move from room to room. We had a team dinner in the breakfast area and the staff was excellent at customer service. Hotel was very clean especially for being “pet friendly” My husband forgot his personal care bag and when I called Kelsey went above and beyond to personally go upstairs to check and grab his bag, making sure it got overnighted back to us. We will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel was perfect. Close to everything and clean!! My room was comfortable and I’ll be staying here every time I visit family in the area.
