Courtyard Marriott Gettysburg

The staff treated us as family. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed. I would stay at this hotel again without a second thought. The personnel were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property. Great for families. Courteous staff. Very clean.

The pool is very small. Overall, a good experience. Quiet, staff is amazing. I had my kids with me and they liked it as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. Our room was great with a nice view. The hotel was close to everything. There was a soccer tournement going on in the area so there was a lot of kids/teens in the hotel but it was still such a relaxing stay. The sitting area was nice in the lobby along with space to sit outside. All in all a great stay.

I just want to say that every single member of the staff that I met was fantastic. That being said the facility was overall not what I was expecting. It was obvious that the hallways were not regularly vacuumed. There were stains on the sheets in the bedroom. They had been washed but were generally discolored with some stains which looked like makeup on the fitted sheet as well as a few of the pillow cases. Also the courtyard was absolutely full of young families with children ranging in age from 7 to 10 in town for a soccer tournament. They were very noisy, running up and down the hallways until late in the evening with seemingly no adult supervision. The hotel should require them to only allow unsupervised children in the hallways who are old enough to swim in the pool by themselves. I could tell that the desk clerk was having a problem with the large groups of unsupervised children because even after many warnings they had to threaten calling the police before the parents intervened. I understand that the Courtyard/ Marriott brand has to accommodate, but there should be stricter rules and harsher consequences for breaking those rules. Those children’s parents should have all been contacted and warned that they need to watch their children. It is after all a hotel and not a playground. My husband and I were looking forward to a quiet getaway, and ended up not even being able to use the pool because of overcrowding and constant shrieking.
