Entering the lobby of The Grand Hotel always feels special. Having stayed there for many years while our children were at Willamette University, it is a place to which we love to return. The staff is professional and kind. The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is delicious. The location is within walking distance from so many great restaurants, historic downtown with shopping, beautiful parks and WU. Parking is always available too.

Staff is amazing. Hotel itself looks beautiful. However, we did not appreciate the fact that we could not adjust the thermostat as it is preset by the hotel. The toilet seemed shorter than a standard toilet, which was not comfortable, and the toilet tissue was subpar. At the price I would expect better quality. The beds are no better than the regular "Phoenix Inn" down the street, which we had stayed the night before but wanted to be closer to the hospital due to a family member being there. Both hotels had amazing staff which was so nice to have after the hard days we were enduring at the hospital. I guess I was just expecting a bit more than the Grand provided since the price was so much more. Very clean and again, truly appreciated the friendly staff so very much.
