Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center

We were booked for a family event at this hotel. Our sister was receiving a huge award from her professional organization. The block of rooms from the conference was a much higher price than the last night we spent using Hotels.com. This hotel is very accommodating and has excellent staff and amenities. Safe area of Portland with a lot to do and see and the back door of the hotel leads directly to the MAX- the train that takes you all over town for $2.20 a day!!! The bed was unbelievably comfortable but the open shower concept was a little chilly and the bottled water is $4.00 a bottle. Found out you're supposed to refill the bottles- refill stations on every other floor.

The only problems we had weren't the hotels fault. Key didnt work and kids stuck in elevator. Lovely hotel great service.

Great place for families

Was loud, could hear the morning alarm going off in others rooms. Most staff was helfpul, except one snarky man at check in. He was more than happy to inform me that if I wanted an early check in for my family that was arriving for a 2nd room was unavailable, which I understand, however he was sure to add it would cost $$ if they could accommodate. $900 for two nights in a crappy part of town and you want to charge more. Good bye Hyatt !! We love to travel and we like nice hotels, but what I do not like it to be nickle and dimed. On top of all this my bill was completely wrong, more time spent on a crappy stay. One bright spot were the valet staff. They were warm and helpful, actually making this stay tolerable.

Very clean. Nice view from the room. Service is fast. Highly recommended for your family to stay.

Beautiful hotel and walking distance to convention center. Safe, clean and great rooms. Restaurant and market are great. Really enjoyed our stay. Was nervous heading there from some reviews but the area is safe. Absolutely no issue and had little kids with me.
