There were a lot of noise because of thin walls and kept hearing the running water from adjacent toilet. I made a reservation for 5 people. And there was no sofa for one of my children to sleep on.

The door handles were really sharp I cut my arm on the bathroom handle and so did my kids . Plus the service was slow took 30 minutes to get a first aid kit or anything for that matter

Overall, it's a great hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, the amenities are pretty generous, and the view is great. My only complaint is that a 1-bedroom suite doesn't have a door, which makes it not a bedroom. The space separation was still about as good as it could be, but still hard to make a quiet, dark place for small children.

We had a suite that was very large and perfect for our family of 6, pleasantly surprised. This is an upscale Holiday Inn Express and the views of the fiver and the Astoria bridge were AMAZING

The property was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and even called us immediately as we left something in our room upon check out.
The pool was great for our toddler but water a bit on the chilly side.

2 Reservations to stay a total of 5 nights. We have stayed here allot in the past and it has always been pleasant. However this stay we noticed a few things off. The bed mattresses must of been changed to something cheaper, because the beds are hard as a rock and very uncomfortable, back pain every morning for 5 days. They only have 1 tiny garbage can in the entire suite, only 1 tiny bar of soap, 1 roll of toilet paper, 2 towels. Yet we are here for 5 nights. Breakfast was okay, though lacking, the breakfast hostess as you can tell hates her job as she enters and exits to add more items and dressed as she just climbed out of bed. The little gift shop that has various items for you to purchase midnight snacks for yourself or the kids is a rip-off, charging you $3.75 for a tiny bag of chips or $4.00 for a kit-kat bar. For a hotel that charges us $225 a night and up, i would expect better for its guests. The view can not be the only part of the stay, though the view is heavenly, the guests should count the most. Astoria will always be a favorite of ours, but i am not sure we will return to the Holiday Inn Express here.
