Candlewood Suites Midwest City, an IHG Hotel

Everything was great. The room was spacious and clean. Being able to cook and have a refrigerator to keep food in helps with a large family. The staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. The location is good with restaurants in walking distance if you choose to go out to eat.

I came to Oklahoma from Iowa for a family Wedding and had a Lovely Spacious Suite. So nice, that I had room, and plenty of lighting to make some changes on my Sister's dress for her Daughters Wedding. I stayed 2 nights, and, I was so impressed with the quiet Air Conditioner unit that there was no need for ear plugs at night! 🙂 The room, kitchen, and bathroom were so clean that after traveling closer to the Wedding venue for 2 nights, I returned here for 2 more nights stay, in the same room, to spend more time with family. The people at the front desk were very personable and I had freindly conversations with several of them. I can say that the cleaning staff had done an exceptional job, not once, but, both times in my stays here in one week! I did not have any time to use the pool, but, late in the evening I was happy to be able to buy a snack off the Lobby, without having to leave the hotel. I will most definitely stay here again when I return to the Del City/Midwest City area!

Property is average, but manager permits long-term stays. One of those "tenants" was directly on top of me and she, along with her child, ran back and forth for my entire 5-day stay. Clerk was informed when I checked in that I was there on business and needed a quiet room. Reported daily. Staff would approach, but tenant just disregarded. She would have been removed by any reasonable manager, but this property is not concerned about normal hotel guests if it jeopardizes money from one of their long-term tenants. Worst hotel experience in 55 years. Do not stay at this hotel if need a place to work during your staff. On site staff was professional and friendly, but it was clear that management precluded them from acting further to eject the unruly, disrespectful, self-entitled long-term tenant. Its enough to support a fraud claim and I may go there, but will certainly contact appropriate levels of management beyond the property itself.

I liked the property and the facilities. The room would have been quieter had there not been a child in the room overhead running back and forth for a literal hour at a time several times a day and had management been willing to address the issue.
