Place was amazing. Jessica, the receptionist was super friendly. Room was clean and very comfy. Met the lady next door, the next morning, and she apologized if we heard her kid crying that morning. We never heard anything. Pool was clean and felt great after a hot day of riding the bikes. We will definitely be staying here again!!

It was a comfortable stay. But with kids there was no WiFi connection, power outages and the tv was not working. A lot of storms but was safe. Just inconvenient without wifi

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at the Hochatown lodge with our two kids. The location was perfect, being so close to the lake, state parks, and restaurants. We loved how convenient it was to explore the surroundings. The lodge itself was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep for the whole family. And let's talk about the shower pressure—it was absolutely amazing! It's always a pleasant surprise to find a hotel with great water pressure. Overall, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend the Hochatown lodge for its cleanliness, convenient location, and comfortable amenities

We went for a local craft fair. The lodge was very nice, but its pretty old. We got real keys for the door and it took a lot of effort to get the door open. If you want local or national news or weather, forget it, the tv is only streaming channels, mostly kid shows and Spanish speaking. They dont have any breakfast, no restaurant within walking distance, and only the tiny coffee pot in the room. The room was very big, and the beds were good and comfortable. It was a great atmosphere, clean and welcoming, just a little outdated.

I stayed here 3 years ago, wow has it gone downhill since then. Make no mistake, this is a budget (2 star) motel that survives due to it's location - directly across the street from the entrance to Beavers Bend St Park. I knew that going in and knew what to expect from a motel in this category. What I didn't expect was broken blinds that allowed anyone walking by to see my family sleeping, bed sheets and pillow cases left unchanged from the previous guest, dirty towels with mascara and lipstick that I was able to partially wash off in the sink but apparently the staff cannot launder. When I called the front desk to ask if we could get some soap in our room (because there was none) there was no answer twice in 10 minutes, I decided to walk over to the office. About to open the door, I noticed through the glass a young lady sitting at the desk looking down at her phone. I decided to stand there at the door and call the desk again to see if she answered - to no surprise, she sat there playing on her phone while the desk phone rang and eventually went to a recorded message. I dialed again and this time stepped into the office while the phone rang. The look on her face was worth the walk over... I will not be returning the the New Hochatown Lodge, you probably shouldn't either. Best of luck.

Overall came across as the old style mom and pop motel. Comfortable for the most part, but no seating in the room, not even a chair. Would not recommend a family stay since it is within 20ft of two liquor stores and one pot store. Plus side right in the middle of all of that is a family center with go-cart track and mini golf.

Our room had roaches, but he air freshener plug-in was so strong we could hardly breathe, I did not like the fact that we stayed with children and there is a weed store right next door. Receptionist was on a personal call when I came to check in. Instead of immediately tending to my needs she finished her phone call and then proceeded to another call before helping me. Parking is too tight. The parking lot was dark and I didn’t feel safe walking with two young girls.

No carpet was a plus. Beds comfortable. Sink was stopped up upon arrival. The plumber fixed it promptly the next morning. No coffee maker in the room upon arrival. The desk clerk brought a new one promptly when informed about it. Had a nice covered area outside to relax with family for a bit. A nearby tornado added to the excitement.
