We travel often and this stay was below average. When we arrived the man working was sitting in the dining area watching tv where he yelled to me "what do you need" to which i replied...i was there to check in. Obviously annoyed...he came out to the front desk to tell me my room wouldn't be ready till 3...even without checking anything... I asked if my kids could swim in the meantime and he told me no. I understand if that is policy but his delivery was cold and rude. We left for a few hours and returned around 2:30. At 2:30... a different rude, annoyed employee was at the front desk. I asked if my room was ready to which she replied "do you see a key on your app?" i said no..to which she replied "then it's not ready" without even looking up at me. During the visit we used the pool. No pool towels available so we used the room towels. Went to the front desk to ask for 5 towel for showering to which a lady told me that 5 towels is a lot and she would need to log them. Assuming i wanted to steal them? Pool was fine...had a huge puddle in the middle of the tables filled with dirty water.. no towels available. The kids still enjoyed the time swimming. Room was fine and seemed clean. Checked out on the app.

We booked a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed because we are a family of 5. We arrived at 11p to a king bed and had to pay for a second room.

Location was amazing (right off the highway). Check in process was very quick. Staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was quite large and spacious. Breakfast had quite a variety of items. Our family of 4 truly appreciated that and would keep this in mind for future visits.

We came for an overnight stay while at Cedar Point. The hotel is about 35 minutes from the park - a perfect ride. The double Queen room was lovely & spotless. Towels and linens were so snowy white they nearly glowed. Our room was right next to the elevator and ice machine, but we didn’t hear a thing! Excellent room, and the beds were sooo comfy. Breakfast was a little lackluster. It’s the same continental fare usually offered, but there were no waffles (both irons out of order) and the juice dispenser wasn’t working. Sad traveler noises. The only real issue we had was with the front desk night staff. When we got back from the park at about 11:30, my daughter needed a tablespoon of salt (she had dental surgery three days earlier and needed to rinse). She went to the front desk and was sent back with one tiny packet. My husband went down to get more and was sternly rebuffed by whomever was working the desk. She didn’t have anymore salt at the desk, she refused to leave the desk and walk 20 yards to the buffet where the salt was kept, and she wouldn’t allow my husband to enter the buffet area to get it himself. She chose a tablespoon of salt as the hill she was going to die upon that Saturday night. Insert serious eye roll here. I don’t know who crapped in her corn flakes, but my 16-year old kid was the one who went to bed with a sore mouth.

The hotel itself was nice and our room was clean. Breakfast was good (waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice, etc). There was no housekeeping unless requested due to Covid, so we did have to go by the front desk a couple of times or catch housekeeping in the hallway for fresh towels… not a big deal. Using our phone to access the room with a digital key was convenient as well and it was shareable with the whole family (during our previous stay w/ Hyatt they couldn’t figure out how to do more than a single digital key). The worst part about the hotel isn’t really anything to do with the hotel itself, but the large potholes on the access road to get to it. You’d think that Hampton (a Hilton property) and the Courtyard beside it (a Marriott property) could cough up a few bucks to fix the road.

Sara at the front desk was super helpful and kind! The hotel was clean and we appreciated the use of gloves for food at breakfast. You can’t really control all the noise other people make, so the only downside is that at 12:30 am kids were running down the hallway screaming. Sounded like little ones, too. The people above us could be heard too. Coffee was great!
