Clean hotel but old. Lady at front desk wasn’t seated there but to a table on the side and seemed to be very tired but later was helpful as we reported our room had a barn door that was extremely hard to move to close off the bathroom and the outlet in the living room made it so the lamp couldn’t be used as it was broken and recessed into the wall. The bottom of the tub shower was worn and needed to be re-coated or painted or have a mat over it. Just looked old and worn. She offered us another room on the same floor but we had already unpacked and our children were in pjs and being teens didn’t want to bother moving. Breakfast had made your own waffle station and good cheese omelets. We were put off by the staff lady monitoring it having a fit over us opening the sliding tray for mini muffins and taking the ones we touched not seeing the tongs to the side barking at us “there are tongs to use, thank you!” There was a jar to heave her a cash tip but given her attitude we didn’t.

Clean run of the mill hotel, as a family of 4 we were not fond of the non locking barn door for the bathroom

The whole experience was just flat. Booked a King with sleeper sofa and got just a King. Nowhere for my son to sleep so we had to make arrangements for our college kid to come pick him up and stay with him. Very inconvenient!! Front desk barely spoke when we arrived and didn’t say anything except what room we were going to. Bed made terrible noise when moving. Parking lot was very dark and in a sketchy area.

Our family stayed here for 3 nights for our trip to the nearby Carowinds amusement park. I should start off by saying that April at the front desk was an absolute ROCK STAR every single day, from check-in to check-out. She was friendly and made us feel like family. Michelle at the breakfast each morning was also amazing. Speaking of breakfast it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Rotating hot items so it wasn’t the same each day, along with a variety of waffle toppings and different pastries each morning.
The pool is under construction, but all guests were able to use the pool at the sister hotel next door, so that was very accommodating also. This was just across the parking lot.
As for the room, it was clean and spacious. We booked the king suite with sofa bed and it was perfect for our family of 4. Separate living and sleeping spaces, a table with chairs, two separate TVs, lots of counter space, and comfortable furniture made us feel at home.
Convenient location just a few minutes from Carowinds, a reasonable drive to Charlotte, and the downtown Pineville area was very charming! Gas, food, and shopping all within walking distance or very short drive. We will definitely return to this hotel if we are ever back in the area!

Front desk lady was terrible and rude. More interested in face timing her kids than addressing customers. Room description said it slept 5, but zero accommodations. It slept 4. She told me to put 3 people to a bed and that’s how they advertise that it sleeps 5? Also, we booked this for the pool and it was completely drained and under construction when we arrived.

The beds were comfy and check in was easy. It was very clean and the beds were nice and clean. Not very “small child” friendly; had to set packnplay up in front of the door. The bathroom door was so hard to open and shut; had to plant my feet just to push the door open. Breakfast wasn’t good, my toddler who eats anything and everything wouldn’t eat it.

Stayed here before but this time was not good. The main problem was that they rent to section 8 families and at breakfast there is nowhere to sleep kids are running around in their pajamas and there was literally no food left. My husband asked the girl in charge who was very rude and told him there was nothing left. Many other paying guests came down as well to be told there was no food. There are other reviews saying the same. Shame on Hampton inn for going in this direction as other cheaper brands do and we stay away. It is not right that paying guests are paying probably more than government vouchers and it is like a zoo and there is nothing to offer paying guests. Made a complaint for a refund but so far nothing. Hotel needs attention

Hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room was on the small side and quite tight for a family of 3. room was very reasonably priced, and overall a good value. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful

Very clean and comfortable bed. nice location as well. Our only issue was that we happened to stay the same time as a dance team so when we came down for breakfast (and we were not late!) there was slim picking of food. For those of you with young kids, you know the highlight of a Hampton Inn is the waffles, so trying to explain that to kiddos, when it was the reason you picked the hotel, was hard. I think the 'cook' was frustrated with people asking because she was not the nicest when we asked her. But honestly, everything else was fine.
