Homewood Suites by Hilton Davidson

The check in was smooth, room was clean spacious, at night we have a smoke alarm turned on and was like that for many hours my baby grandson was unable to sleep well as well my daughter and son, the front desk was unable to make contact with maintenance.

This is a beautiful property and close to restaurants and shops. It was very convenient for us so we could be close to family. Many of the rooms are under renovation which is good because the rooms are really outdated.

Property is very dated and the walls are very thin. We could here the tv and children playing in the next room.

I chose the hotel in part because it has a ceiling fan over the bed. This did not work. I reported in the morning early after my first night there. The engineer was in and they said he would come by. I got no notice that he had come by and it still didn't work on my second night. Hilton has a "guarantee" of satisfaction, but I did not get satisfaction, and no real acknowledgment or certainly recompense. Front desk person said they were "sorry about that." The breakfast was also disappointing. If you don't eat meat, there was no protein. Some little ham or pork sausages and potatoes. No eggs (hardboiled or scrambled or anything). Yogurt was just the small little ones--no greek yogurt. Coffee mate or non-dairy creamer for the coffee--no milk or half and half. In the room the picture over the couch was crooked (but fixed to the wall so you can't adjust). The fan ran all the time even when the air conditioning was on auto, unless you turned the whole unit off (which I did to get some quiet). Lamp shades were askew (which I fixed). The front door was "out of order" so when walking you have to walk all the way around. The out door patio is only available by walking through the pool area. It's nice to be able to sit outside and read. Altogether a surprising disappointment. Have stayed there before but hard to recommend. Ironically I was asked that morning at a breakfast spot about where I stayed and if I would recommend. The staff was nice and friendly so that was a plus.
