Nice family hotel! Staff goes above and beyond!

This is our first stay at a Home2 property and it has what you would expect for a hotel of this style. I booked our reservation through Expedia and when we arrived we were told that the hotel was oversold and they did not have a room available to accommodate my family of five. I’ve never had this happen before but upon further research it sounds like something Expedia does often. The front desk clerk (Monica) was fantastic and did everything in her power to find us another room - which she did! Unfortunately I think it meant that another guest lost their room for the night. Our room was spacious and had basic amenities. The full kitchen was a big plus, though the washroom is very small. I did find the room hadn’t been cleaned very well and things like the remote, light switches, and door handles were visibly dirty (or sticky, ew). There was also a TON of noise overnight from other guests running through the halls and slamming doors for hours on end. After calling the front desk they were very apologetic and assured me they would send someone up (which is sounds like they did). Unfortunately this hotel being conveniently located near the highway means there’s a lot of road noise as well, especially if your room is facing that side. Overall we likely won’t stay here again unless we have no other option. Our usual stop in the area is the Drury across the highway and it is overall better.

Decent area. Room ok. Staff friend.Blinds damaged and had to spend a lot of time fixing. Chairs sticky. Pull out mattress was horrible. Only suitable for a small child. Breakfast was a total mess. Very little to eat at 0940. Area a mess. Tables a mess. No hot coffee avail (2 times). Hot water not hot. Ended up going to Dunkin.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The facilities were clean and relatively new. The room was very spacious and easily big enough for two adults and four children. The breakfast had a good variety.

We enjoyed this hotel for the most part. Very nicely decorated. Bed was comfy. We choose this location because of the indoor pool since we were traveling with a kid. Our tv and outlets in our original room did not work so the receptionist moved us to another room since maintenance was already gone for the day at 3:30pm which was fine since we hadnt unpacked yet. The power seemed fine in the next room over but when we came back from our event it went out again. We checked the breaker box but it didnt fix the issue, we just dealt with it since it was 10pm and didnt want to get moved again. We went to the gym the next morning but found broken equipment and again a tv unit would not work. Overall we enjoyed this hotel, super quiet and we didnt hear anyone else like in some other hotels but we were disappointed about the power issues and broken equipment in the gym. We enjoyed the pool but wished there had been some clean towels as there was just a bucket of used pool towels.

We were pretty disappointed with our stay here. Not only was our room not clean (doors were filthy with dirt around handles, debris in the pull out bed, fingerprints and smears on the window, floor was dirty), but the hallway and elevator areas were dirty also. I'm talking tons of smudges, cracked food on the floor, just a mess. To top if off, the continental breakfast was not even operational. They said it was open 7am-10am and when we got there at 8:30am, nothing was warmed or set up. We couldn't find any dishes, and the tables were not wiped down. My family decided to skip it all together as there was not even anyone at the front desk or attending the breakfast area to ask for assistance. We will not be staying here again, that's for sure.
