Hyatt Place New York/Yonkers

Stayed at this place because of its proximity to Fordham University! Flew in from JFK …slept here..worked out in the morning then ate the breakfast provided and headed to the school which was only 15 mins away! Excellent experience! Room was comfortable and spacious for my family of 4.

Being next to a busy shopping center it was surprisingly quiet, safe and family friendly! There was free breakfast and free parking, which is always a plus If I ever visit New York again, this would be The place I would stay!

Good for my family

There was blood on my sister’s pillow which she discovered in the morning after she slept on it. That morning (April 16) we brought it to Kaitlin’s attention at about 7:50 AM as we were headed to breakfast. Kaitlin said that Hason the manager should be in about 8am and would call me on my cell phone. As we were leave ng which was at 9 Kaitlin said that Jason saw that we were at breakfast so she did not want to disturb us and he was at a meeting but would definitely call me. He never did. I have a photo of the bloody pillow. I was embarrassed and disappointed as I have stayed here many times and recommended it to my family.

Perfect for my family

Hey there! Just wanted to drop a quick message to say that my recent stay at your place was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment I stepped into the front lobby. Also, I must applaud the cleanliness of the rooms - they were spotless! One thing I absolutely loved about your place is the convenience of having various shopping options, a wide range of restaurants, and even movie theaters nearby. It made my stay even more enjoyable, as I had plenty of choices to explore and keep myself entertained. Overall, I must say that your place is perfect for families, as it offers a family-friendly environment with all the necessary amenities. My experience was so great that I can't wait to come back and stay here again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience!

Overall, our stay at the Hyatt was okay. We’ve stayed here before and had a pleasant experience. However, this time around not so much. We had loud neighbors, an outdated television and were woken due to noise complaints. We initially didn’t complain about the neighbors because we heard kids and we understood. Just seemed unfair to then be woken up and being blamed for making noise. The hotel apologized, which we appreciate. I wish they would upgrade to smart TVs. It would be a better business practice if guests would be placed further apart given guests with kids.

Location near the Cross County Mall was convenient for shopping, dining and entertainment (theater). Also, getting onto the highway was convenient to drive to our families home. Thank you for a great stay.

I booked a room for a family visiting from Chicago. I may not have stayed myself but I am in and out of the hotel when I pick up and drop off my family and stayed a few hours each time. The room has a great size with a king bed and sofa bed. Bathroom is big. Closet space is good. The best part is it’s close to shopping, dining and movie theater (which I already know because I just live in the Bronx) but my family was impressed by the location!

The rugs were dirty, no trash picked up, security camera in room which I covered for privacy reasons. They advertise a pool but do not state it's kiddie pool size. Staff is friendly though.
