We came into town for a family funeral. During our stay my special needs son fell down in the hallway and scraped his head. The staff were absolutely amazing and attentive to him. Making sure he was ok and got us what we needed to help him. I can’t say enough positive things about the staff and hotel. Breakfast was always ready, hot and replenished quickly.

The room above was full of kids that were stomping on the floor late at noght and early in the morn. Terrible. We woke up on our final day to find an infestation of ants crawling all over the TV table and the table next to it!!!

I was told the pool
Was closed on the weekdays when I check in and this is the only reason I booked the hotel smh I didn’t even stay in the hotel. checked in and took my kids somewhere else to spend their day & ended up checking out When I got back . The front desk staff had an attitude and was not pleasant either .

The hotel was very nice but I did have an issue with hotels.com. It says the indoor pool was open every day until 9 PM and when we got there they only had it on the weekends and we got there on a Sunday and it was closed at noon and our check. It was at three. They were super nice and accommodated several families that were purposely there for the pool, and they opened it for us on our stay.

Staff were terrible...so sorry to say. They even did argue when my wife requested for an hr extension to checkout. She told them that we have a small baby...but they said it will cost us $25/hr. Unbelievable! The whole time our room didnt have any hairdryer...informed them but it was total silence! Also seeing an extra charge by Hampton Inn...when I called them, front desk just said....'sorry it was a mistake and u will get back in 5/6 business days' (I surely will not leave them if they take any extra amount from me). Honestly never had such bad experience staying with Hampton Inn in all these years. BTW, their room cleaning staff were great though! Even we gave tips for their very friendly attitude, always keeping smile and clean the room at their best ability. Hope their leadership will find a way to blance these entirely two different opposite scenarios.

First when we got there at 4 rooms were not ready. It was 4 families we all had our own reservations.
At that time I got my room I usually always check intensively I found 4 bugs (bed bugs, pictured included). I let them know and they changed the room. Then the manager unruly walked up
To me and said they were not bed bugs. I work in a shelter I know what a bed bug looks like. Next, the new room they have me had a very bad ant problem.
Ants on the wall (videos included) then they somehow were on the bed.
I had to stay with a friend for the night in her room because it was really bad.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was polite. Only thing I was disappointed in was their indoor pool is only open on the weekend, so my children didn’t get to enjoy the pool. Free breakfast was a plus and one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

PROS
Check in was smooth and easy, the morning continental breakfast was not crowded as it usually is at most hotels. The hotel was rather quiet even though there was small groups of families and professionals staying there. The gym had enough equipment to get in a good full body workout.
CONS
The pool is ONLY open on weekends which is not advertised online.
The breaktfast was lack luster with the AGM complaining that she was doing things that were not part of here job.
We called ahead to name that we would be checking in closer to 6pm and even upon arrival at 545 our room was not ready (a double queen), we were offered an accessible room which had more space but was right outside the elevator (which we did NOT want) and resulted in a very noisy night with all the traffic of a young group of people.
Check in was smooth however the young lady who was checking us in was distracted by her personal cell phone and criticizing a family group who appeared to be of hispanic decent by saying to her AA coworker "I don't know why we Spanish people have to be so loud all the time especially when we are right next to one another". I found this extremely unprofessional and offensive as there were other guests checking in at the same time and there was no way of her knowing the ethnicity of us or them.

Pool isn’t opened Sundays and it’s not disclosed anywhere. Makes no sense and a waste of money especially those booking specificity for that. Booked 3 rooms came with 4 children and a disappointment.

I booked online and called the hotel around 2:30 pm the day before my arrival to confirm the reservation and let them know I would be arriving between 12-2am as I was driving in from Canada. We arrived around 2:30am and were told that there was an issue with my card so they gave up my room and were now fully booked. Nothing at any point indicated there was an issue and no one called to inform me of any anomalies with the reservation or my card. I was never contacted about the problem.
When we arrived at the hotel, they were not able to put us in another room. So we were left stranded in NY with two extremely exhausted children and nowhere to sleep.
Front desk could not explain how they gave up our room within 30 mins at 2 o'clock in the morning and now had nothing available.
The person at the front desk said, she ran the card that was holding the room and there was an issue, but did not want to call because it was late. I understand it was after midnight, but it was also within 30 minutes to an hour of our arrival time.
They refused to put us back into the room that was originally held for us, and the General Manager (who just woke up from his nap) was extremely unconcerned about the situation and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to attempt to rectify the situation.
The woman was eventually able to direct us to another hotel that had availability that night.
Overall, the absolute most disrespectful, unprofessional, discourteous, irrational and thoughtless experience.
