Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons

There are two things I am not happy about this hotel. 1) when we check in, they pull out wrong reservation and told me I can’t check until next day and the room I booked is a suite, they told me it is a regular king room. 2) on the day check out, my husband has some work to handle on computer. So I wish they could let us check out a little late. My husband already spoke to front desk, the lady named Shannon told him it is ok to check out at 12. I did not know my husband already spoke to them, I called from the room, she told me in a very nasty way, you have to leave at 11, otherwise we will charge you for a whole day. I have to rush and left. Then when I took kids and our stuff went down to lobby. We have to sit there wait for my husband finish work. While we were sitting in lobby with our luggage, we saw lots of ppl left with luggage after 12. So that means their policy is towards who you are. It is very ironic.

Our first hotel room was very dirty and the ac did not work. They moved us to the room next door. The ac worked but the room was still dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable. We were offered a $25 credit to the hotel snack bar for an apology for our first dirty room. We chose the hotel bc there was a pool for the kids, but it was closed for construction. The parking garage was also closed for construction. It took over an hour for the valet to bring our car for us at check out. Not a great experience. We will definitely never go back.
