While some family rooms may be on the smaller side, guests consistently praise the hotel's fantastic showers, tranquil ambience, and overall upscale feel. The hotel's location might be a bit noisy, however, and parking is off-site. While breakfast is noted as underwhelming, dinner service is reported to be outstanding.

Loves this property overall. The room we selected (family of 4) was a bit small but overall spectacular.

Beautiful hotel a bit over priced. Vehicles are parked off site so you have no access. Very noisy area, fridge wont keep anything cold, furniture was very stained and there was several children in the roman bath. Staff is very friendly and helpful

It was our anniversary and we wanted to get away from the kids, we planned a night to stay at the hotel and paid for late check out so we can order room service and stay in bed. Unfortunately, when I called in the morning room service was unavailable, so we had to get up and go downstairs for bagels and muffins… No hot food available

I stay here 3 - 5 nights at a time, often during their peaks (thanksgiving week), which is probably unusual. I’m thrilled to discover the Curtiss as my perfect respite space when visiting family in Buffalo multiple times a year. Ultra-technologically savvy rooms, fantastic showers, and a tranquil upscale ambience make the time with my parents and extended family even more enjoyable, because at the end of day I can escape to this wonderful place. To the ownership- Well done. Please continue to invest and maintain your facilities. You have a beautiful hotel in a challenging city for hospitality outfits like this. I appreciate you.

Great stay, we’ve stayed here a couple times for a quick getaway without our kid. It’s a great hotel, and a great location.

The hotel is a nice conversion of an older building. They've invested heavily in redecorating the place to give it a "hip" feel-- almost too much. But it's definitely a nice space. Ground floor is beautiful. Reception staff were very professional. We had a king suite, which was a nice size. We book these expecting a door between the living room and bedroom as we put our kids on the sofa bed, but it was really just one room here. The sofa bed was stylish as a couch but super uncomfortable as a bed. It folds a bit every time you move. The room was "smart" wired, but we found it dark and hard to figure out how to turn on/off certain lights. Very clean, but the carpet was old and needs replacing (or why not go hardwood at this price point?). We had extremely mixed dining experiences. The dinner was outstanding. I'd seen mixed reviews, but steak, pasta special, the bread and butter appetizer (maybe best bread and butter combination we've ever had- weird to say but true) were all excellent and "Z" was a great waiter. The free breakfast was underwhelming and close to outright bad. A simple continental setup, but no fruit. The pastries were shrink wrapped (maybe a covid thing?) and must have been 2-3 days old. There was no sugar out for the coffee, and after 5 or so minutes looking for an employee, we gave up. The pre-made breakfast sandwiches (e.g., bagel, egg, cheese) were a nice idea, but soggy and mushy and lukewarm.
