The carpet in the room was very shabby and not clean. The place has parking for only 5 cars, and it is always full. The staff are very nice and polite, but the place is not good at all for families or people with children.

The actual hotel and service were great. The location of the hotel is frightening! There is police going up and down the street all night long, police entering the premises at all times. The taxi driver from the airport told us that this is an extremely high crime area! I suppose for the price, however it was reasonable. We booked there last minute due to flight cancellation, would not stay there with children again due to safety concerns.

The property was good and clean. Spacious room. We had a very poor experience with front desk person. Checked in late night due to delay in flights. That person went off the handle and started cussing in front of kids. Spoke to the GM Emilio in AM who was very kind to give a good listen and promised to address it appropriately. Hence 3 stars. Also do not want that one person to reflect on rest of the staff. In most industries this kind of behavior would be classified as violence towards customer and would get a person loose his/ her job.

The staff was courteous and attentive. The prices are reasonable, the property was nice and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely recommend this establishment to my friends and family and I will be going again myself.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to be in the Bronx for a half day, & it had good reviews. Had zero expectation coming in, as I’ve stayed in many meh places in NYC, but I’m very likely to return even if I don’t need to be in this specific area because it’s an amazing find. We checked in at 3 am after a massive delay coming into JFK from Heathrow. The overnight staff was friendly and welcoming. Normally checkout time is 12 but they offered to extend it to 1pm. That made me love them, because we needed rest pretty badly. The property is in great shape. The lobby is stylish. The room is updated, clean and comfortable— the deluxe double queen room has a couch with a pullout bed that we didn’t use. The beds were a little firmer than I would personally have chosen, but at 3 am after an overnight flight on Oslo time where a little kid was kicking my seat for seven hours straight I crashed immediately, and gratefully. The bathroom is small but clean & comfortable and has a nice walk in shower. Note to manager: The shower curtain was a little too short so the floor gets wet when you use the shower. 3 bath towels were very nice and fluffy but not quite enough for the three of us. The hotel gave us a number to text for anything needed and I trust that it would’ve resulted in an immediate towel refill. Ended up just reusing a towel. (Trying to improve my relationship with the planet). Anyway, this hotel is a hit with me. Quiet and peaceful, safe and friendly, clean, a bargain!

This is a hidden gem in the mist for the Bronx. When you walk into the lobby it feels like your were transported into another places. There is a lot of stores around if you want to go shopping. I didn’t not enjoy the neighborhood but I did feel safe enough to stay with my 3 kids there The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful with a tons of upgrades. Parking is limited to 7 spots, that was the only negative but I will definitely be staying there again. The rooms and bathrooms were big and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. There was a bunch of different options for you to select. In all is was a very pleasant stay.

Just left from my stay at the opera house, and i have to say although the surrounding area looks rough which is no fault of the hotel at all ( just stay in your lane and keep walking) the facility itself inside felt very homey very clean very welcoming, the deluxe room was amazing size for my family and the staff was absolutely sweet and caring. We were only there basically for breakfast and to sleep but they truly were the best. Have to give kuddos to Krystal and Zue who were the most sweetest down to earth individuals ive come across while traveling. I wish nothing but the best for them and thank you for treating us like family

My family and I only spent one night at this hotel, there was no wow factor about it. The location/area was the worse, from people strung out on drugs, panhandling, smells of urine(public urination)and dog feces on the side walk etc. This was the worse, my children were traumatized.
