Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott

We arrived from London at Terminal B and were departing the next morning from Terminal C so an overnight stay here seemed very logical. EWR terminals are in a basic semi circle layout with the hotel towards the centre of that circle, from a google view a very simple trip. My biggest tip - don’t try and walk it like we did!! It would be so easy to extend the walkway and put in a crossing but, this is America! So use the shuttle bus! We were a family of 3 so picked a room with 2 double beds which were exactly as described (I mean doubles NOT queens) so if you’re used to a larger bed take that into consideration. City view was wonderful with the bonus of looking across the airport as well. One final interesting fact - we booked for both before and after our trip. Upon arriving in our room for the first night we realised we wanted a different room category for our return 10 days later. After checking availability we noticed a larger room was over £75 cheaper! I don’t know why, currency fluctuations can’t account for such a large change so it might be worth waiting as long as you can before booking, maybe?

It is so close to the airport and there is an airport shuttle that runs every 15 mins to bring guests to and from all the terminals. I got from the hotel door to the boarding gate in just one hour (transport check in immigration and security clearance). Cleanliness can be improved. Food at the restaurant downstairs was really good. I stayed here one night with my family including a 4 year old and 1 year old, and it was fine.

Booked executive suite for 2 adults and 2 kids which accommodates 5 apparently. Had to ask for bedding as non provided and got a blanket and two sheets no duvet. Sofa bed described by son as most uncomfortable bed he has ever slept on. Turned off air conditioning as continuous squeaking from fan. Main bedroom was comfortable and room service efficient. Would not recommend room for more than 2 people.

We cannot walk into the hotel but the shuttle is available every 15min in 24 hours. The room is clean and quiet to stay. The minimum amenities are available. It's a little inconvenient to use an internet because hotel WI-FI needs payment even for just sending a short email to my family. I could not find a free WIFI in the hotel.

More activities for kids would have been nice.
