Adventurer Oceanfront Inn

This hotel is very nice and we did enjoy it a lot. The rooms were clean, they provided us with pots and pans and plates and what not for the kitchen, plenty of pillows and bedding, pool was warm and the kids loved it, they seemed very diligent about making sure the pool was cleaned and straightened up every day, and the staff was friendly. The downsides to this hotel is 1. They have the slowest elevator on earth. Get a room on a lower floor if possible. 2. it was a bit of a further walk to the boardwalk than I realized. It is at the end of the boardwalk but there is still a good 10-15 minute walk from the hotel to get to where the real fun part of the boardwalk starts. 3. No free breakfast options (don't know if this is typical of all the hotels in the area but we were disappointed) 4. They charge you a cleaning fee if you don't clean all your dirty dishes. Which is an issue because then the plates and stuff are only as clean as the last person who stayed there made them. We were tired and didn't feel like washing them but we did to not get a fee. I know we aren't the only ones half assing that job on the way out. So, maybe wash any plates or pans before using them. I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars at first because it was nice, but there were these little annoyances that existed that took away from the enjoyment of our trip so I had to give them 4.

The location is great if you have kids because it’s right next to the board walk. My only complaints are that they never lit the fire pit, they never refilled the pool towels, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the air conditioner didn’t work the best. Other than that, the room was pretty clean.

I have an infant, they placed me on the first floor by the pool. The stairs were on the other side of our room. I asked to be moved and I was told I couldn’t. The people upstairs were smoking and throwing cigarettes off the balcony. A man was spitting off his balcony as I’m sitting on mine. Also there is no ramp to get inside the hotel, my wagon and stroller had to be carried up and down the stairs every time. Elderly people struggling to get up the stairs..

My family and I enjoyed our stay, the kids loved the heated pool and even though we had the view of the pool outside our room we were still able to enjoy the view of the ocean from our balcony!

Quick weekend getaway! I love “The Crest” because it’s the quieter part of Wildwood….located at the base of the boardwalk, this hotel is great for walking. I was impressed with how large the room was; next time we are bringing family. A bit noisy from other guests, but THATS a hotel for ya. Not impressed with my pancakes from the Pancake House… found them to be a bit gritty. Overall, great weekend! Will be back.

Overall stay was good. Pros: heated pool, Property was clean and staff was very nice. Cons: The pillows were hard and flat, I expected a little more considering how much they charge each night. My whole family suffered from allergies while in the room, not sure what that’s from. I also didn’t like the layout of the room, there’s a partial wall and accordion door separating bedroom from living which wasn’t good for us with small children. We were hoping to put them to bed and hang out in living room but couldn’t as we didn’t want to wake them up. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

I stayed at the Adventurer Inn when my kids were young 20 years ago. We would go there every summer for a family vacation. We came down with friends. The property is in excellent condition. The staff was very nice. Weather your going with your family or friends this is an excellent choice.
