My family enjoyed the pool, also the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. There was a convenient place to store our skis, as well as a shuttle to the base of the lifts. I wish the shuttle ran more of the day, instead there is no shuttle from 10:00 to 3:00. But the staff was kind and helpful. We will happily stay here again!

Due to the closing of Yellowstone we need to make last-minute changes to our itinerary. We HAD to stay at a place with an indoor pool according to my granddaughter. We were quite pleased with every aspect of our stay. Check-in was easy, the rooms were very clean, the pool was clean and kid-friendly (3 ft at one end, max. depth 5 ft ), the complimentary breakfast offered a variety of options and the Starbucks coffee was free and available 24/7. And the view of the mountains from the breakfast room was spectacular with blue skies and snow-capped peaks. We would easily stay at The Lodge at Big Sky again.

The hotel was fine. It was great to have the extra fold out couch for our kids. The mattress on our bed, however, left a lot to be desired... too soft and no support. Also, there was a 30 DAY cancellation clause in the fine print (two clicks away from the reservation page) so make sure you double check that or be absolutely certain that your travel plans will not change.

I stayed at in 2021 The Lodge and had a fantastic experience. This time, the service was horrible. First, at check in (3 women with 5 children), we asked about getting adjoining rooms or at least rooms on the same floor. Without even attempting to look up options, the man at reception told us they were full. The parking lot was practically empty; this was an obvious lie. Later (after the second issue described below) I called him out on the lie, and he then claimed that our rooms were "different types." This is not how hotels work. We had identical rooms (on the 1st and 4th floors). Secondly, even if it were a room rate issue, he should have looked up options and given us choices, even if those choices required an additional fee. Later in the evening, we planned to use the fire pit to roast marshmallows with the kids-- we specifically chose this hotel for that amenity. When I asked him to light the fire, he said "I have no idea" threw his hands up and refused to help. I asked for at least a lighter and kindling. He looked under his desk for a second (like at the floor), and said he didn't have a lighter. I then asked if he could call a manager to find out where it is kept, and he said "they're not working." He then told me it's not his job to provide the tools for the fire. We paid a resort fee... for what? He and his friend then sat on the couch in the empty lobby while we tried and failed to start the fire using paper and the barbecue. Completely unacceptable service.

Awesome family vacation. Rooms are large enough to accommodate extra luggage like ski boots. Ski room near entrance is a little small.
