Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kansas City Liberty

I stay around this area frequently for work. I’ll not be coming back here. And very unlikely to stay at any Fairfield Inns by Mariott. I’ve stayed at 2 to 3 and they have never been as nice as offerings as the available competition. This hotel was probably a very fine one back in the day. I could help shake the idea I had stayed here on a trip to KC as a kid. But like those days this property is gone. The parking lot was odd to navigate and the surface itself had seen better days. The lobby area was well kept and not much more. A musty odor permeated my room that smelled of water damage- this was alleviated slightly by closing the bathroom door, but still persisted. Scuff marks and other wear and tear leave the room feeling overall unkept. There are cheaper and better options in the area.

Checking in was a issue as I waited a good 15 minutes before being acknowledged I was even there. What looks to be a problem taken place when one group of families had the desk personal and office personal tied down with there personal problems.

Stuff were wonderful and very helpful. We arrived early before noon. They checked us in immediately. I will recommend friends and family.

On Friday night there were kids running up and down the hallway until 3 AM. The people above me were stomping around until 4 am. Needless to say, I was not able to sleeep. Saturday was much better
