Holiday Inn Express & Suites Vicksburg, an IHG Hotel

The staff was very accommodating. We had two rooms of various family members and they moved our rooms closer together, no questions asked

Paid in advance for a suite . Once we arrived , we were informed the property was under construction & they were unable to deliver our request. They showed us a standard room with 2 queen beds & offered to place a rollaway bed in front of the bathroom door , but there wasn’t room for our family members wheelchair . The only other option they gave us was to purchase an additional room , which we were forced to do under the circumstance.

Without infants/kids, this would be a decent place to stay. We had an infant crawling and her knees/feet/hands were disgusting only after 2-3 minutes of being able to stretch around. The food was fine, but we probably won’t stay here again due to condition of the floors and having kids now.

This property was fine. The biggest complaint was the dirtiness of the carpet. We had an infant crawling around and her hands/knees were gross within 2-3 minutes of crawling around the room.

Great location. Friendly, helpful staff and the absolute BEST breakfast the family has had at a hotel!! Would book this hotel again.

The hotel needs to upgrade their rooms with usb ports for ease of charging and working away from home without using the business center. Bathroom needs updated non slip in their bathtubs and ro ensure that all toilet tissue and shower items are full. I booked the room for 2 adults and 3 children, requested a suite to ensure enough sleeping spaces. They do not issue cots or rollaway beds in double queen rooms which made us purchase an air mattress and sleeping bag for my granddaughter. Our second booked room was for the 2 males in our visit. The pool was nice, workout room and breakfast buffet were added pluses. The staff was friendly. Just a couple of hiccups.

I have stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn Express & Suites in many different states and was never disappointed until this time. The room as a whole was not very clean (from the bedding, bath towels, floor, etc.). Toilet water was leaking onto the tiles in the bathroom so maintenance put towels all over the floor and said they will try to fix it the next day. Don't know if they fixed it because I checked out. The refrigerator did not get cool even on the highest setting so my food spoiled. Breakfast was good but one of the workers asked my family and I if we were hotel guest or not, as if we were stealing their breakfast. Apparently they have people coming off the streets into their hotel eating breakfast and getting their coffee. The lady who checked us in was nice and so was the cleaning staff. They were doing construction on the 3rd floor from 7am to 6pm. So no quietness for us who were staying on the 2nd floor. Hopefully they will renovate the whole hotel because the Comfort Inn we stayed at the next day cost less and was way better than this establishment. Usually I take pictures in my hotel room but I didn't this time cause I was a bit embarrassed at the way it looked. So disappointing. Makes me think twice about booking the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the future.
