Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brookhaven, an IHG Hotel

I felt like my kids and myself would have some type of infection when we left. I couldn’t shower or bath my kids because the bathroom was so unkept.

My family were attending a wedding in Brookhaven last weekend and my three daughters and other family stayed at the Holiday Inn. Based on reviews we thought it would be a ‘comfortable’ place to stay for a short visit - We were not expecting luxury - Hoping for cleanliness and not very old furnishings. Try he toilets only had the capability of being flushed every 20 minutes because of water pressure. A moldy smell in the rooms made my daughters feel ill. I don’t like to leave bad reviews however hoping to provide a service yo other travelers. Always hoping for fair and honest opinions myself when planning

Came unfortunately for a funeral in Hazelhurst, MS. At least 3 of my family members had to switch hotels to this one because the other ones had bed bugs, spiders, or just plain unsanitary conditions like nasty mattresses. This facility had friendly, courteous staff, wonderful food selections for breakfast, very clean rooms and at least one computer at the front for printing out boarding passes. In addition, snacks were available for sale in the lobby. The only thing not available is an ATM machine in the lobby. But overall nothing to complain about, as their are many nearby options for banking available and the location is great as it is only 20 mins from downtown Hazlehurst.
