I lovely location; quaint and clean cabin with everything you need. The view of lake superior is delightful and convenient to walk to if you care to sit on the sand and watch the sunrise or sunset. And the property is definitely child friendly as it has a playground and even the ball and cornhole, which is delightful for adults, as well. There is a restaurant on site, which is part of the property. That makes it convenient and has great food and service, as well

I wish I could have stayed another week. It's close to Grand Marais. Beautiful view of Lake Superior. It was clean and comfortable. My kid had a fun time running around. Access to trails just steps away from the cabin. I look forward to coming here again.

Clean but rooms in the lodge are much smaller than they look. Throw pillows on beds and used blanket should be removed. Dirty and not any place to store except in the floor. Cleaning man was nice and offered to help my husband with his bags when we were leaving (handicapped) man at front desk at check in did not. No way he could get ice from the basement. We really the view from our window and the sitting area of the lodge. Traffic noise starts at about 5:30am and it is close to the road. Nothing can be done about that. Fridge in the room but no microwave. Coffee pot in room and coffee in lobby. Restaurant next door. Seat yourself and order at the counter. We would recommend this hotel anyone that can do stairs. I would not recommend the lodge for children but the cabins might be nice.

We stayed at cabin 10. It was quaint and comfortable. We had a creek RIGHT next to us the kids could play in. Great access to trails and the lake. My only complaint was the TV wouldn't work, we asked for help and it wasn't resolved. We would absolutely recommend!
