Fairfield Inn & Suites Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport

This was the "Walmart" of airport hotels, with extremely loud families and general chaos.

The staff was wonderful! Our flight was delayed so we got in around midnight. The front desk guardian angel with electric red hair made sure we found the shuttle ok, greeted us with ice cold waters and a snack and was truly a blessing for us after a long day of travel with cranky kids. The hotel was clean, breakfast was a good spread, and the shuttle service was fantastic, just make sure you ask the driver if it’s the Mendota Heights one as there are a few identical looking Fairfield shuttles. We didn’t explore the area but it was a quiet area. Highly recommend!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times never a problem. They even moved me when I asked because of loud/heavy walkers, kids jumping around the floor above me. The breakfast is hot proteins like eggs and sausage with a selection of breads, waffle maker and hot and cold cereal, fruit. The hotel is right next to a major highway so you can be anywhere from 5-25 minutes in the Cities or to find a rail station. Food options you will have to search nothing within in walking distance but easy to find. Connivence Store just across bridge on Pilot Knob rd. for fueling vehicle or a quick stop to pick up something.

It was a nice place to stay, my nephew got his fill of the swimming pool. The spa was full every time I walked by, mainly with children, and that would not have been relaxing to me. The day I thought I could relax in the spa, it was closed for maintenance. It was located close to the airport and Mall of America.

Our stay was great The hotel was clean the room was comfortable. The kids liked the pool.

I cannot say enough about the pleasant staff at this place! Both the evening and morning staff were friendly and helpful. It felt like family. The property is directly located between the approaches for the 2 runways of MSP International. Planes landing and taking off from 4 am to 11pm are consistent. There is also train noise. I got used to it and it became background noise to me and did not bother me, but the thinner walls of the rooms did bother me as I could hear the neighboring rooms and hall talking guests. Breakfast was a full eggs/waffle/protein with granola, yogurt, fruit and breads/muffins. Even with my allergies and GF needs, I was able to piece together a light breakfast. The only microwave in the facility is in the snack room. But our bedroom did have a fridge. We did not use the hot tub as it was down for a broken heater, but the pool area was extremely clean! A huge plus! The shower in our bathroom was a firm rain shower and high enough that my tall frame could fit under it. The entire bedroom was clean and well maintained. Bed was soft yet firm and I slept well. Heater worked and was not overly loud.

The hot tub wasn’t working and the pool seemed dirty. My kids wouldn’t get in.

We loved everything here! Their entire staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. All our requests were fulfilled ie. a Handicapped accessible room and bathroom. Refrigerator kept everything cold and the heat and AC in our room worked wonderfully! Superb breakfast and so much more! All areas were clean and tidy along with our room. Enjoying the pool and jacuzzi was very relaxing and listening to the kiddos having a blast made it that much more special! (The little ones were very engrossed in the echoes they could produce!) Happy to say that we found a new place to stay when we're up in the Twin Cities! Deritha Kinsley

Check in was good, hot tub was broke, no extra towels for the pool so my family had to use our shower towels for the pool. One of the beds were broke and slanted backwards while laying down.

My kids and I got up to bugs on our pillows and bed.
