Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Minneapolis North

The staff at the hotel was very rude and hung up the phone on us when we complained about the room right above us having kids running and jumping up and down for hours past 11p. Room wasn’t as clean either and breakfast just sucks!

Very nice hotel/room but the front desk service made me feel very unwelcome like she didn’t want to give me a room and even though she did she seemed very irritated. We tried a few hotels in the area that were all booked or doors locked at 10pm so I had to call and ask for a room I said I was outside she said they have rooms but don’t take walk ins after 9 so I said I would book it online then would she let me come in (I had kids with me and we didn’t want To drive at night anymore) when I checked in she didn’t confirm the room or anything just handed me a key and said elevator is to the left

I booked King Suite through hotel.com, once I got to property they informed me that hotel.com overbooked & there were no King Suites available. My party was 2adults & 3children. We were put in a room with 2 double beds. Very inconvenient. I was in town for a wedding & we couldn’t find another room anywhere in area, so we had to take the small room. I go to take a shower & at first glance I thought it was a spider/roach but it was somebody lashes. The tv sounded very good but had no picture. I felt like why complain, they had already put 5 people in a little room? Call hotel.com & Kevin told me there was nothing he could do because Fairfield Inn told them that they wouldn’t be charging me for King Suite which I reserved but only for the little double room.

Breakfast had many options (oatmeal bar with toppings, eggs, potatoes, sausages, waffles, cereal, bagels). Plenty of gluten/dairy free options including DF milk and gluten free bagels which were great. Hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Only complaint was the pool was ice cold, so my kids wouldn’t use it.

The hotel was brand new and super clean. The staff members were all friendly and helpful. They even had gluten free options and dairy free milk available at breakfast, which is huge for our family with food allergies!

My husband and I were there for a family funeral. We had a fantastic night. Our room was really nice, felt big, and clean, however there was no paper towel available for use. Am not sure if paper towel was not supposed to be provided or maybe the janitor just forgot to put one in the room? Overally, it was really nice and for sure will be coming back when we are in town. Thank you

Great place to stay I would recommend to family and friends.
