Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kalamazoo

At check-in were asked if we wanted housekeeping and we said yes but they never went, at checkout we were told only if we stayed more than 3 days. The coffee maker didn't work, there was no conditioner and no body wash, we ran out of toilet paper and because there was no housekeeping we had to take our the trash which was piled up. The people above us had some very noisy kids that were making lots of very loud thumping noise. Someone threw a bunch of fries and chicken nuggets at our van. They said they don't have cameras and because we used a third party they couldn't refund or discount anything. We'll never stay there again and next hotel reservation ill go directly to the hotel to avoid any third party excuses/issues.

When we checked, we were greeted with a great smile and good service, I was very happy with that given I worked at a hotel before and the face of the hotel is your guest services. We were there for a tournament game of lacrosse. There was also a tournament for a baseball so many family and kids. Our room was clean, but the shower did leak at the corner of the door that does not open. When we went for breakfast it was a complete mess and there was not enough food. so we were not able to eat both mornings. We e were guests of four and that’s how I registered. However we only had three towels in the room. When I called for additional towels, I was told they were in the dryer and it would have to be a wait. We never got the towels. As I mentioned, there were a lot of families and kids there for a tournament but it seemed like the hotel may not have been better prepared for it as far as towels and service around the breakfast for additional of food and cleanliness.
