The Winthrop Arms Hotel And Restaurant

This hotel had a lot of history and character. It’s been in the same family for many years and the owner even took our bags up the stairs to our room. Each room was different and unique. Our room had a separate sitting area from the bedroom. The room was very clean. The bathroom looked like it was recently updated. The bed was very comfortable. There is a restaurant attached, where we met a lot of locals. They were all friendly and gave us some great advice getting around and things to see. The food in the restaurant was very good. The seasonal pumpkin martinis were amazing. There are steps and no hair dryer in the room, but I would highly recommend and would stay there again!

Had a very nice stay during a most troubling time for the family. It was nice to have food access available & we were allowed to eat as we chose to, making things even easier. Room was perfect for what we needed, and the location couldn't have been better during all of this!

Great stay overall. Room was nice, but could use a microwave! Also no elevator, but we were aware of this in advance, but still presented a challenge when traveling with the family and a decent amount of luggage to bring in. Love the restaurant, food was delicious, great craft brews to choose from, and the staff was great. However parking was very limited in the evenings due the restaurant. Even with the a parking pass, the facility used its small parking lot for valet parking for guests coming to eat at the restaurant, so keep this in mind if you plan on going out in the evening, you will very likely have to park a block or two away and walk back to the hotel.

The property is very well maintained and the room was very clean. Nice details in the hotel and our room with what appeared to be the original trim/mouldings the early 1900's. We had a view of the water. The staff was very accommodating as we needed an early check-in for a wedding. Options for lodging are limited in Winthrop and thankfully the Arms is available. Definitely not a hotel chain franchise. We will return as we have a number of family in Winthrop.
