Great location and parking. Wasn't a fan of the room...right next to the pool and tables are right next to the room sliding doors so we had kids swimming and screaming for hours!

Short getaway with family, great for small children! Short walk to restaurants and waterfront. New hot tub and splash pad are wonderful. Repeat guest for sure!

Price was very reasonable for the location. We walked to dinner on the harbor and the kids enjoyed the splashpad and pool.

My family and I stay at the Hotel 1620 a few times a year and always have a good stay. The hotel has a great location, the staff is always very nice and helpful. The only issue that we had with this stay is the quality of the room. The paint on the walls were faded and chipping. The bathroom soap fixtures fell off in our hands as did the toilet paper roll holder. The rooms need to be rehabilited and revived. The hallways also smelled bad.

Pros: It’s good for families, clean rooms, kids love the pool area, free and easy parking.
Cons: no breakfast, snacks or even a vending machine… that make it hard for kids.
We coming back for sure, we getting a day pass next time.

It wasn’t our best experience. We stayed for a night during February vacation to use the pool and new splash pad. The kids loved the pool area but they never had towels to dry off which was strange to me. They then made multiple announcements that people who were checking out today had to leave by noon. Seems really cheap for them to be so strict about this. Many other places let you stay for the day. They also have no restaurant in the morning which is hard with kids. The soap was empty in the bathroom as well. Several small inconveniences that aren’t a big deal but add up.

I was excited to stay at Hotel 1620 since I had been there recently for a large party and the service was impeccable. Upon arriving for our stay, we were greeted by Dan- the nicest man to work at a hotel desk, ever. Absolutely wonderful. I decided to extend the stay an extra day since we arrived late. The customer service was great.
The room was clean and somewhat updated. The beds were the worst I have experienced at a hotel. We did not sleep.
My largest issue is that seeing the new splash pad, I assumed this was a safe, family friendly hotel.
The hotel was a loud, party zone. I took my kids to the pool and there were people beyond intoxicated in there. There was no system in place or rules being enforced. I have stayed at many hotels, and do not expect a staff member to keep constant watch but really, they should have had someone checking in every 15-20 minutes. There were many kids age 3-9 in the hot tub- so many adults couldn’t use it.
Over all, my stay was underwhelming and disappointing, so much so that we checked out early.
The pirate ship was nice. The service was great. However, rules were not enforced and the beds were terrible.

Great quick trip to Plymouth. Checkin was very busy but management did their absolute best to handle all guests. Would recommend and the kids loved the pool and splash pad.
