The Federal

We booked the Federal at the last minute to see our family on Christmas. Love this hotel, the staff, restaurant/bar & amenities are wonderful!

We have a child going to Bowdoin College and whenever we visit we stay at The Federal. It is a wonderful hotel with great staff. The location is great for walking downtown. There is a bike trail that start very close to the hotel. The college is a little over a mile away!

I booked 4 rooms for a family wedding. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The Hotel was immaculate. Check in process was smooth. Room was cleanest I have seen in years. Towels seemed brand new. Room heating unit was quiet and efficient. Bedding was comfortable and warm. Hotel bar was busy, newly renovated with excellent service. The free coffee was delicious, better than Starbucks. This is the best hotel by far in the area. My compliments to the ownership and staff.

Lobby is warm and inviting. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and room nicely decorated. My go to hotel in Brunswick Maine. I stay when visiting family.

The Federal is such a classy hotel. Beautiful furnishings and decorations and unique stairwells. The staff could not have been nicer. My 4 grandchildren came to visit me to exchange presents. The staff offered to let us use one of the beautifully furnished living spaces for this exchange. Very pleased with my visit and will stay here in the future.

Aesthetics very nice. Beds and linens very comfortable. Walk to restaurants. Room was small - newly redone but vintage building. Fine for 2 of us but a familynof 4 with luggagge would have been very tight.
