I loved the layout of the hotel and its proximity to everything. The rooms are a little dated, but I thought it was charming. The service is amazing! The front desk and cleaning crew is excellent! The room we stayed in only had one door, which also served as the window, and due to the historic age of the building, you could hear everyone chatting in the courtyard until quiet hours. However, once I put in earplugs and turned the bathroom fan on for white noise, I slept like a baby.

Strongly recommend not staying at Hotel Provincial. We stayed here for family weekend. The rooms are around the courtyard and people sit and drink at the tables five steps away from your bed until 1am or later. The courtyard is officially closed after 11pm but it’s not enforced. It’s very loud. In addition, although it’s a quaint hotel, there is a fine line between quaint and run down. The lamps don’t work, charger ports are broken, and the chair is covered in what looks like dried yoghurt (don’t want to imagine what else it might be). The “charm” of the small hotel fades away fast when you get no sleep. New Orleans has so many other lovely hotels to choose from- this isn’t one of them.

The hotel is very cute and clean. We went with two adults and two kids. During the day the hotel is great but getting to the hotel at night is terrifying to walk to. This is no fault of the hotel itself but it is not in a safe part of town as other reviews claimed. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Provincial. Our family of four had two rooms connected, which worked out great. It is a nice enclosed complex with a rear entrance to French Toast, the breakfast/brunch restaurant. The hotel was generally quiet and felt very safe. We enjoyed the pool, common area, and bar. It is within walking distance to most everything in the French Quarter, but getting a cab is effortless at the front desk.
The rooms could use some maintenance and updating, but it was clean and comfortable. I would recommend it.

This is my third stay at the Provincial and just love it. Whether it’s a family, couple, single or girls trip, it’s the perfect location. Their rooms (main building is where I stay) have plenty of space with two closets, good sized bathroom with separate shower area and old New Orleans charm. The bar is quaint and coffee/tea is available in the morning. Located perfectly near the French Market, Trolley, Frenchman District and two blocks from the crazy of Bourbon St. And the restaurant “Toast” is delicious.

Our family loved this charming hotel which was in a great location in the French Quarter. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our drinks at the bar, time in the pool, easy valet parking, and our quaint hotel room. We stayed 2 nights and didn't move our car because it was so easy to just walk everywhere. We had brunch at the adjoined Toast restaurant and it was delicious. Would definitely consider staying here again if we come to NOLA in the future.

We loved the Hotel Provincial. The hotel is in a quieter area of French Quarter, easy walking distance to everything you might want to do in and around the French Quarter. The hotel is historic and quaint. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved Ice Bar for happy hour and French Toast for breakfast. This trip was a family trip- the kids (teenagers) loved the hotel and the area it was in. We were even given adjoining rooms which helped to male our trip perfect. Great stay at Hotel Provincial- we will be back!
