This has been the most amazing stay at any hotel I have ever been to! The staff was crazy friendly and went out of their way to help! I would recommend The Haunted Hotel to all of my friends and family!

This is a very small ‘family’ style hotel. Amenities are minimal: small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nice outdoor communal space. VERY friendly, small staff. Easy to walk the French quarter from here. Nice breakfast place next door.

My wife and I stayed here during jazz fest. Ginger (the owner) was away on business. But Herb did fine. The staff was super friendly. The room came with 2 beds a well working AC (needed for the hot temps). There were pros and cons (really mostly pros). I’ll lead with the cons. Fixtures are a bit ‘weathered’. And schlepping luggage up and down the stairs is precarious. There is an alley you have to go through (with a locked gate guarding it) when you arrive. But knowing the quarter, that’s so necessary. The pros are being greeted with a beautiful property with a large comfortable courtyard. We had a beautiful balcony. The property was quiet (welcome oasis from the insanity). And again, the service was spectacular. Honestly, we’re used to staying in 4 star hotels. But the service here was so above and beyond those hotels (in New Orleans). It is unquestionably more like a ‘family’ feel. It was a hard review to write. But I’d sum it up with saying my wife and I talked it over and said we’d likely choose this property next time, given the charm and service. It holds a special place in our memories of this trip.

In travelling for work, I've stayed at a number of places around the country, usually the big chains offering all the amenities like loyalty points, continental breakfasts, free bottles of water, etc. What I've never gotten from any of those places, however, is the level of customer service my wife and I received at Haunted Hotel New Orleans.
This small, historical hotel is less than five minutes away from the action on Bourbon Street, yet it's far enough removed that you can avoid it altogether if you wish. We parked a short distance away (P336 through Premium Parking) and left the car for the weekend. Upon checking in, we were greeted by Wydner, who gave us a warm welcome to New Orleans and treated us like family the whole time we were there. I know that's a cliched phrase that's tossed around by almost every company in the world, but I really do mean that for the duration of our trip, *every* staff member at this hotel made us feel like we were guests in their own homes. They were kind, accommodating, good-natured, and most all, hilarious. I really can't say enough about these guys. Their hospitality alone made this trip a truly memorable experience, and I look forward to staying at this hotel again.
Lastly, as far as paranormal experiences go, the only thing haunting our room was the occasional curious pigeon that would land on our window unit outside from time to time!

Fun hotel with a great location. Basic but clean. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. If you scare easy or have kids, you may want to consider a different place. They definitely go all out on the haunted motif, complete with bloody handprints on walls, scary wall murals, and bed sheets printed to look blood stained! We thought it was funny.
