La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bowling Green

They had bed bugs!!! I think that’s enough said!! Then when asked if I could have my money back, since I had to move all 3 of my little children and baby to another room at 4:00 in the morning due to bed bugs!!! They only refunded half!! Which I think I should have received a full refund !!!

Super sweet staff. Just disappointed in the fact we were placed on the bottom floor with a family with large dogs above us. Got woken up both morning at 6:30 to dogs running up and down the floors. Complained the first morning and they stopped for about 10 min then continued. I wish they would pay more attention to where they placed people.

Everything was wonderful except the breakfast. Myself and two of my children ended up spending half the day after eating there sick and I was throwing up.

Check in was easy and the gal was attentive. The only concern was swimming. The pool was packed and thus the adults of our group were not able to enjoy. It would be nice if there was adult time so the kiddos would not be there. Sry it was about 945pm and the pool closed at 10pm.

We had two issues: key card was hard to use and flimsy. We indicated we had a child and dogs and we were charged an additional $20 for the dogs. Otherwise no issue with the hotel at all.

The room and hotel was clean. Staff was so polite and kind. Breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast. The only downfall was how dirty the pool was. It stunk and you could not see the bottom or even the top of the top step of the ladder. My kids all even gave a big nope to putting a toe in.

Nice affordable clean and safe for families!

The property is close to I-65 and check-in was easy. I got an extended room with two queens and sofa pullout. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was typical hotel fare: waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. Coffee/tea was at a 24 hr station around the corner. I was told that the swimming pool had salt water and not chlorine which we found to be less irritating to our skin. But the best part was the quiet room. I put my kids down around 9 pm and didn't experience any outside disruptions. We all had a peaceful night's sleep. If I had to list a downside, I would say the cost for this hotel and I'm guessing other hotels in the area was high. I understand from the staff that summer is a busy season for tourists and weddings there and demand is high. I believe that our hotel was fully booked for the weekend that we were there in early June.

Check in was very easy. When we first got in our room it had a dirty toilet. Tried to call downstairs but the 2 phones in the room were disconnected. Went downstairs and Team Member was very embarrassed and changed our room. New room was great, no issues. Loved the breakfast, lots of variety!! The Breakfast Team Members helped my kids make their waffles. Thank you!! That was really nice of you. Would stay here again!!

I feel like La Quinta's can be hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit for us. Check in was quick, the employee forgot to activate our cards but was quick to get that taken care of. The rooms were pleasantly clean and the beds were fine. It was really nice to see all of the extra outlets and charging areas around the room rather than just a few outlets in the wall. With a big family and all of our devices that comes in handy ;) Breakfast in the morning was good, plenty of options. All staff we encountered was very nice.
