Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bowling Green

Arrived very late Saturday and the front desk employee was friendly, and very young. Confirmed our pre-paid booking for 4 people/two queen beds. Got to the room, and the red flags popped up immediately. The moment we opened the door, a large cricket jumped from the drapery. Thankfully, my son swatted it out the door before my wife got there. Then my other son (6 feet tall) showed us that even with his head on the pillow, his toes were dangling over the foot of the bed. These beds are NOT standard queen sized. They are either doubles or infamous “hotel queen” size beds made smaller to fit in small rooms. We’ve just driven 8 hours through rainstorms and we’re exhausted. I could’ve gone back to the desk and complained, but what’s the use? I’m not going to argue with a young clerk at 11pm over a bug and mattress sizes, and I don't want the hassle of switching hotels or being charged cancellation fees. In the morning as we checked out, I asked the clerk if "Room X" had two doubles. She looked it up and said "Yes, two doubles". When I pointed out that I paid for two queens, she switched up and said: "Yes, two queens." Wow, just wow. Anyway, the kicker was us getting bagels from the complimentary breakfast nook and seeing at least a half-dozen small ants scurrying around on the countertop. So yeah...that was the last straw. The family agreed that we had had enough of this place and got the heck out of there.

Property and room were clean and looked 5o be newly redecorated including new mattresses that were very comfortable, and the rate was very good. However when we arrived we were checked in by someone who looked like a 13 year old child. She informed us that they require a cash deposit of $70 and that the room would be inspected before we would be given the deposit back. We also had the option of putting this on our credit card and this would be reversed withing 2 to 7 business days. We paid the cash deposit and asked for a receipt and she did not know how to give us one. Her brother came in and scribbled a note on a post it note after first refusing. We also asked for a receipt for the room as we had prepaid and they eventually gave us one. The next day when we checked out the room was inspected and we received the refund. Nowhere on the Expedia site was there a mention of this policy.

Just off the highway. We have kids and it served the purpose of a decent place to stop while heading south for vacation.

The room’s temperature was set so low when we arrived!!!! My two small children cried for the first hour we arrived because their feet hurt from being so cold. The floor was at most 30 degrees! So cold!!! The bed was also a pull down bed! So you can only imagine the comfort.

The room was filthy and I called several times up front and never got an answer. I finally went in the next morning bc I had 2 kids with me and it was late. We did not even take showers bc they were so gross and the were huge beetles and bugs all over the floor. When I told front desk he just said ok.

I have stayed here in the past and every thing was fine but this was Not my best experience with this hotel . I booked three rooms for my family . Two said good value other said room was dirty and they wouldn’t stay there again .

They did a good job updating this property. You could tell there was some work put in. Wasnt a fan of being charged for incidentals before hand and having to to wait for it to be returned on my card. The door gap on the entrance let light and smell from the smokers outside. There seemed to be a family living there and kid was loud through the day.

Gave me room keys to a room that some family was already open and could of got shot or the fear in that family for us walking in

We only needed a place to sleep & shower while we were in KY to see family. The room with two queen beds is a little small for 3 people, BUT doable!! Clean room, amazingly comfortable beds!! Didnt eat breakfast, but it had the standard spread ... Showers hot Air worked great Rooms renovated & upgraded Overall will stay again!!!!

Clean, convenient location. Close to restaurants and interstate. Have stayed here twice and plan to stay again when visiting family.
