Hyatt Place West Des Moines Jordan Creek

Overall property was nice, but our room had large carpets stains and the vent panel was hanging from the wall. Also, the lock did not work when we arrived but syaff was very quick to repair to keep the room locked while we were away. Pool was warm and the kids had a great time. Breakfast was hot with good variety of fresh items!

Convenient location, amenities, and friendly staff made this the perfect place for our family to gather from Kansas City to South Dakota for a weekend.

We stayed a Friday and Saturday nights. There were several baseball teams of kids staying there too. Hotel was very load with kids in the dining area, running in the hallways and stairwells. Saturday morning we occasionally had hot water in our shower

My family and I stayed for a night. The service was great , anyone we spoke to at the front desk were super polite and friendly. Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean. The overall state of the hotel could probably use some updating, like scratched doors , paint , cleaning of furniture. The only down side was our shower was super cold and the lever to turn the shower on was not fully functioning. I would definitely stay again.

The room was excellent…clean, spacious, and modern. It was nice to have a little sectional for our family to lounge on instead of always being on the beds. Beds were comfortable…down pillows and comforter. Rooms were nice and quiet! I couldn't ever hear other doors closing or people above us. The breakfast was complimentary and was delicious! My kids loved the French toast! It’s too bad there wasn’t a hot tub but the pool area was nice and warm. The kids swam forever because the water was heated. Great stay!

First time staying in this specific hotel so we didn’t know what to expect. The lobby was very bright and nice walking in. After receiving our room card we drove to the back and entered through the back entrance. It was easy to go up the elevator to our upgraded room. Once entering the room we were very pleased with how clean and nice it was! The layout was perfect for our needs. The bathroom was really nice. Although we didn’t utilize the pullout couch, it was a nice touch to have separate seating! We were very satiated with the breakfast as well, although more dairy free options would have been nice for my wife. Overall, we will definitely stay here again and bring our kids! Can’t wait to use the updated pool!

The stay was absolutely wonderful, however, checking in seemed to be the problem. ***Future hotel stayers, please be aware if you book through Expedia.*** Apparently there was a problem with Expedia and the hotel, with not getting the funds from Expedia. Staff had no clue what to do, by stating they didn’t know what to do and told me it may take some time to figure out how to resolve the problem. They had no idea what to say and by me telling them that they need to figure it out fast, made them realize they needed to call the GM to help override. Expedia has been around for a couple of decades; sounds like user error to me. To put icing on the cake, a family of 5 was having the exact same issue and the maintenance guy working at the hotel and of all people told us we need to lighten up and be more grateful, due to Thanksgiving being the day before. Hmmm I just drove 10 hours and the staff told me I couldn’t check in because of no payment. Guess what…payment was made awhile back. There have been other reviews at this particular location that have stated the same issue happening. I think this may be a great opportunity to train the staff on how to handle Expedia bookings moving forward. I have booked 150 hotels through Expedia because of the rewards program and this issue is the first time it has ever happened to me.

The design of the room was nice. The lamp was nice but the t.v. Didn’t work and the bathroom was missing a fan. The bed was comfortable and it was dark. The air worked well and kept the room cool. The night shift personnel wasn’t welcoming. The breakfast are was clean but not as many options that were kid friendly.

A perfect hope for our wedding weekend with family. Great hotel.
