The staff was very nice and available for any questions or concerns. The hotel was very clean, quiet and very homey. Good amount of parking and breakfast was better than what we were expecting. Very family friendly, I have a 19 month old. The self serve laundry room was a plus too! Accidents are bound to happen with toddlers. Will consider staying again!

Such a disappointment. We booked a 2 bedroom suite for our family which advertised a king bed in one BR and two queen beds in the other. There was a full size bed instead of a king bed. Please be advised this is the case in all of these rooms according to the manager. We ended up having our son stay with a friend because of the lack of bedding. Honestly he got the best end of the deal.
The property was fully booked due to game weekend and it was always a mystery as to whether you would have hot water. Of course I found out about this problem the hard what when I was on a tight schedule and had to take a frigid shower. If you like hot showers, they really don’t exist at this property. Warm maybe on occassion.
Breakfast was meh but no worse than other low grade properties.
The front desk staff upon arrival were very inefficient in the check in. They seemed to be in training and it took much longer than necessary. Between that and the room being not as advertised, I felt there should have been more of an attempt to be apologetic but they acted like it was my problem not theirs. Unprofessional.

Amazing staff and super accommodating and pet friendly hotel. My room was immaculate, the biscuits and gravy in the morning were pretty darn good, and it’s a great location. I have found my place to stay when I am in South Bend visiting family! There was plenty of room for my double cat tent, so I could fit the litter box, a comfy bed and food bowls inside with plenty of room for my cat to still run around within the confines of her enclosure. I didn’t have to worry about a pet sitter and my cat did not have to get stressed out by my leaving. since this is such a great pet friendly hotel, I would just ask that any potential visitors who bring pets be very respectful of the property and leave the room super clean so we don’t lose the privilege of traveling with our animals.

Great place to stay with grandchildren. Breakfast was Great, the person working the breakfast was friendly and remembered us during our stay. Front desk friendly. Very clean and comfortable. Definitely staying there again

Was very disappointed when we arrived and checked in to find there was NO POOL. I specifically booked the hotel for this reason. It clearly stated on line that there was a pool, also there are pictures of a pool, and the reviews mention a pool. I booked this with my daughters and 3 grand children ages 2-6 and told them leading up to the trip and all day until we checked in that they would be swimming. I felt bad for the desk clerk as she was very nice and has to be the one to deliver this news to families that book for this same reason.

No one was at the front desk when we arrived so we waited for about 15 minutes to check in. Very smooth after that👍 The furnishings in the lobby were very nice, & we were able to gather our group to play games. There was fresh coffee & hot water for tea available in the lobby😍 There was no pool or hot tub which were both advertised when I made the booking so we were all very disappointed about that. This 2-night stay was for a post holiday gathering with family that we were unable to see at Christmas, & we were looking forward to the pool & hot tub so that was a BIG letdown. Rooms were very nice, but lacked a dining area even though there was a wonderful full kitchen. There was a nice counter/bar, but no stools to sit there either. There was just a couch & small coffee table. We had two 2-bedroom, 2-bath suites which was a great arrangement for our group & was another reason for booking this hotel. Very clean & comfy, but one of the bedrooms was missing its TV so there was no chance for them to relax in bed while watching the “tube”. This hotel is pet friendly also (another reason we booked); however, the rooms are not very soundproof, and there was a dog barking consistently next door. You could hear the people walking (sounded like stomping) above. Another thing was the room door made a lot of noise when opening/closing. Probably needs WD-40 😆 The free breakfast was exceptional and a big highlight. Kudos to the staff—they were all friendly & doing a great job.

Pool has been closed for a year
Was told we could not use grills by staff. Other guests said they used grills!!! Sunday breakfast was horrible. Staff didn’t show up_ was told what you see is what you get! Juice machine broken, had to insist clerk at least got milk for kids cereal, rock hard rolls, and pastry. No muffins available. No eggs, pancakes or waffles!! Staff on Friday and Saturday were polite and tried hard, but that didn’t make up for no pool, lack of grills and the worst breakfast ever! Also my visually impaired daughter in law could not use Braille room numbers as they were covered with tape?? Not one employee had an answer as to why that was!

Homewood suites gave my suite for my two night stay (family of 7) away and wouldn’t provide accommodations for me elsewhere. My reservation was guaranteed and already paid for. I had the confirmation. The attendant called the Management, at my request. The manager told the attendant the only way they’d accommodate our size of family was if we paid an extra $100. I was not willing to do that, especially since my reservation was guaranteed and paid for. The manager was not willing to speak to me directly. I called Hotels.com customer service. They helped us find rooms (no suites) in a different hotel. We had to sacrifice 1.5 hours of our trip dealing with terrible management.

This was a nice hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. It seemed like it was in the midst of being updated. The couch seemed brand new (and was a very comfortable queen pull out) but there were two random crates of shrink-wrapped furniture in the room, perhaps waiting to be set up. The TVs were on odd not sturdy low stands which was concerning that they could easily be knocked off (especially with kids in the room). We would have preferred to eat at the counter in the kitchen but there were no stools. Also no tables by the beds. Breakfast was minimal - no cereal or milk.
