Baymont by Wyndham Marion

A solid hotel at an affordable price. Great place to stay for a night swim with the kids, and hop back on the road in the morning.

We booked this room as a stop on our way to Texas. We got in around 11:3-12am and left early in the morning. One of the beds sheets were dirty, it appeared to have poop on them. No one would answer at the front desk. My kids had to sleep on top of their covers. We left around 8am. I was charged $12.65 for something, but don’t know why. I tried calling and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. I reached out to customer service and they were not helpful at all. I am very and disappointed in our stay.

We have now stayed at the Baymont several times and have really appreciated the nice rooms, pleasant staff and reasonable rates. We have already booked another stay for when we pass through the area again in February. We are also appreciative of the new dog policy. Dogs are family too.

We spent the night here during our return home to Michigan after Thanksgiving with our daughter's family in Austin. We travel with 2 dogs and it is always a challenge to find a place to stay without paying as much for dogs to stay as we pay for the room. We found Baymont by searching for a pet friendly hotel. Even when doing that we have had unpleasant surprises in the past. Baymont welcomed us without question. Our room was large and comfortable and had a bonus sitting area, sink and frig in the living area. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Hotel is older but well kept.

The room itself was nice and comfortable despite the toilet fill valve making a loud noise with every flush. The exhaust fan was also loud. We reserved the room several weeks in advanced and the view from the window was of the air conditioning unit, but it still let in a lot of sunshine. Many rooms were under construction and there was plaster in a lot of traveled areas. The hotel was pet friendly, but make sure to let the hotel know upon arrival to ensure a first plan room. The continental breakfast was good but options were limited. The kids had a good time in the pool.

Hotel was clean and ready for me! Service was great. Only concern was pool was cloudy. Also, kids yelling and jumping could have been adult time from 9-10 PM.

It was fine for the most part, but I was pretty upset that the shower was really unclean when I got in, there was hair and shaving creme on the walls of the shower and the toilet doesn't flush unless you reallly really hold down the handle. Plus, when I opened the closet peoples clothes were still in there from the last stay? So I know they likely didn’t peek or sanitize there either. There was also a kid in the breakfast area coughing all over the food so we decided to skip the continental breakfast. I know that’s not the hotel’s responsibility but a sneeze guard over the food is probably necessary.

We stay here anytime we visit family down south. Always clean, welcoming and smiling faces..

Hotel needs updating. Carpet and curtains were old and curtains had holes in them. Couch was old and nasty looking. No hot breakfast except for a waffle maker. We kept having to get our entry cards recharged daily. The outside of the building was being painted by this couple who had to bring their toddler every day in the heat. They painted into the night. Would not stay here again.
