Best Western The Plaza Hotel

They didn’t give my family a good room. They literally made us sleep next to the road. It was hard to sleep because of the sounds of the planes, cars, and sirens. Wouldn’t stay here again. Well, at least the breakfast was decent😕 oh, also I forgot to mention that we were on the second floor, but there was no elevators and guess what? We had six bags with us… including a stroller. The staff was curtious though.

Clean and friendly staff. Queen size beds would be great for families. Offer breakfast at 6am for early morning flights. Offer half hourly shuttles to the airport instead of hourly.

Excellent house keeping, wonderful front desk customer service, delicious daily breakfast, affordable daily parking rate, delicious coffee from the cafe in the hotel, and much appreciation for support to military veterans and families.

Excellent location for the airport and bus services into honolulu. McDonald's and gas station conveniently located within yards. The down sides were the very dated room layout. No sink in the bathroom but in the room itself, so when you use the toilet you wake up your partner washing your hands after from the light and noise you make. Hotel parking fees are no less that daylight robbery at $US 40.00 a night. Breakfast buffet can be a free for all with very loud guests and their even louder children. Local hobos are less annoying than those in downtown honolulu, and you may have to step over one or two getting to the bus stop. Overall, an ok stay, but the gouging of guests with parking fees left a bit of a bad taste for me personally.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our kids utilized the pool everyday. Most times they were the only ones there. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our rooms were clean. The property is outdated but clean. The beds are only doubles and uncomfortable. Pillows were good. We rented a car and paid the $20 a day parking. Parking spots are tight. The price of this hotel was great and we would stay there again. We have stayed at more expensive hotels downtown before and we would rather use that money for experiences than lodging. We loved the coffee bar in this hotel and the staff were so great! They knew us all by name. The coffee was delicious.

Perfect for our ohana.. the kids loved the breakfast buffet and the pool. We loved the fitness center it was on our floor. Also loved the air conditioning and ice machine The staff was nice and friendly 👍

This is a lovely hotel when we arrive check in went smoothly the lady who checked me in was so nice and very helpful she told me about breakfast and how to get there she told me about my room and where to find the ice machine and filtered water. My was nice and clean me and my family really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel was even in walking distance to some restaurants.

We stayed at the Best Western as we arrived in Honolulu around 10pm and our connecting flight to another island was not until the morning. The on demand shuttle came within 15 minutes of calling, which was great as we had two tired young children with us. The driver was really kind and helped us load all of our luggage. The room itself was clean but there is a faint smell of old smoke in the room. Our room, unfortunately, was located on the side of the highway which is extremely noisy. We had a white noise machine and that could do nothing to drown out the noise. Our kids managed to sleep through it but we did not. Breakfast is only from 7-9am. The selection is good and they are constantly adding new food. The shuttle runs every hour, on the top of the hour And the ride is less than 10 minutes to the airport. We wanted to take advantage of food and were going to opt to take a taxi to the airport as we wouldn’t have made it to the top of the hour. But the driver was kind enough to take us outside of the allotted time. He mentioned if it’s not busy, he doesn’t mind taking people to the airport so they can eat breakfast first for early flights. Due to the location, friendly staff, cleanliness, shuttle and breakfast, I would stay here again but would request a room as far from the highway as possible.

The staff were really accommodating and friendly. The place was also always very clean. It was perfect me & my family.

Our family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed for one night at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle bus to/from airport every hour. Buffet-style breakfast (waffles were the hit for the kids). Although the location is not the best (between highway and airport), the noise was acceptable.
