Great service. Not too many food options. Had to go to front desk for water and ice. Had a nice kiddies pool.

This is our third time staying at the Ilikai. The children loves the hotel. Great location. Walkable to Waikiki stripe or ala Moana mall. The kitchen is very handy during a vacation where eating out is expensive. Valet is with and attentive. However the cost of parking is quite steep. All the staff are nice and friendly. The convenient store at the hotel maybe pricy but well stocked. The salt watered pool is very comfortable and fun as well The biggest draw back has to be the elevator. Wait time can be long. Time for them to upgrade the elevator system to floor specific ones that will make the experience less dreadful.

We loved this property so much! It was perfect for our family including our granddaughter who is just 15 months. The two pools were great options, and the walk to the beach and the lagoon was so short. It was wonderful! Can not say enough how much we loved our stay. Rod at the front desk was amazing and helped me upgrade the room for me and my husband for our 20th Anniversary. Thank you!!

They should make getting a beach towel for a guest easier. We went several times to get a beach towel (a guest privilege) and was told, "not until 11am - they should have told us or posted this!), the next few times we went after 11am and they "ran out" - I mean really?! This little thing spoiled our few beach days we had planned. Felt like we were just a number. Not a very good feeling when we were referred by a family friend about this hotel with raving reviews. Again, just one little thing ruined it all - beach towels. Who would have thought? Ridiculous anough for me to write this review.

Overall staff was nice. One receptionist was informed about TV not working, but no action taken until we checked out. I liked the suite view and enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to our family and friends.

The elevator situation is no joke. During peak times going to your room can take a while. Also during peak times trying to leave your room can take a long time. Wait time ranges from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, if not more. They limit 7 people per elevator so if you are on a lower floor leaving your room can take some time. Overall the hotel is old and is in need of renovations. The rooms are big and the full size fridge is a plus. But the bathroom is small and there is a mildew smell coming from the shower curtains. There is also a lot of outside noise that makes it into the room. We had a room facing Ala Moana street, so all the car/traffic noise was heard in our room on the 23rd floor The hotel has lots of memories for the family but with the current state the hotel we can not justify returning until the issues get resolved

Great hotel, great location but wouldn’t say it’s kid friendly, lots of rules, no jumping in the pool etc. rooms were good and the amenities close by were great.
