Sleep Inn & Suites Columbus - Fort Benning Area

I would recommend this hotel to friends or families because it's clean, quiet, good breakfast, you can get a good night sleep. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Room keys didn’t work when we first checked in and then again later that evening the lady had to keep redoing them and they were not kept near any cellphones or in a wallet so there’s nothing that should have made them not work very inconvenient when traveling by myself and 3 small children. Area around the hotel was pretty run down. Hotel room was pretty clean and enjoyed having a fridge, sink and microwave. Walls/ doors are very thin you can hear peoples conversations walking thru the hallway and there tvs outside the room.

The rooms were well taken care of by the cleaning staff and the breakfast buffet was great, the location was conveniently close to almost everything you need retail wise! And conveniently close to the Army Base! On the other hand the front desk staff were surprisingly rude and the elevator broke while we were there with no available adjustments made by management or staff to assist disabled elderly people! For that reason I wouldn’t recommend these acomodations to anyone with a disablikitt or elderly family member. It was a very Un safe condition.

The cleanliness of the room could have been better, but overall my stay was pleasant. I came for a wedding and stayed from Fri-Sat. All of the ladies at the front desk were awesome, as well as housekeeping. But the staff member who stood out the most and definitely went above and beyond for my friends and I was Mrs.JJ, she treated us as if we were family and if I decide to stay there again she would definitely be one of my reasons why!!!!!

Everyone is putting their best effort to make your stay comfortable at this property. The lady in the kitchen area was so kind to me and my kids, she helped us with a nice breakfast.

The property was closed for renovations. No one informed me; not Expedia and not the property. I had to pay double for a hotel for my family for nights we were on our trip.

There were kids running on 3rd floor at all times of night. I stayed 4 nights with not 1 day if room being cleaned. Also had a mikdew odor and ironing board was bent

This was not the cheapest room in town, and we chose it because of the amenities listed and its proximity to Fort Benning, as we were in town to visit our soldier son. We arrived to find that the pool was closed (not going to sit well with 2 small kids who expect to swim in the hot Georgia summer). The room was in terrible shape; carpet was separating, laminate floor at the entry was covered in some kind of sticky substance, the only chair in the room was covered in stains and the room smelled terrible. They were renovating rooms, yet gave us a room they had not been renovated, much less cleaned. Within 20 minutes of checking in, we were notifying the front desk of the problems. They advised they would have to charge us for our first night anyway, and if I wanted to pursue a refund, I would have to contact the manager, who was not in. I called and emailed the manager, but still haven't gotten any response. Don't waste your money here! Not even hotels.com can help us with that. We are entitled to a refund due to the amenities advertised not being available.

It is sad that military families are the target audience, as the property is old, dirty and poorly maintained. While the price is low, the quality matches

Even though the building was under renovation to some extent i was disappointed the bathroom didn't have an air vent or any kind of venting when showering or using the toilet. The pillows were like sound enhancers where everything was muffled but louder than prior to laying down and there were no other options to room more than 3 people in one room with 2 beds. We were told cots/ extra mattresses were fire hazards but given a spare pillow and blanket to sleep on the floor of our room. Regardless of the situation, hotel workers should look for the comfort of their customers in hopes of their return. If we were offered an option to fix our problems, I'd have no issues in returning for another family get together.
